Sometimes you need to have a snack that is the perfect balance between sweet & substantial. That’s where one of our favorite things to eat comes into play: granola & fresh fruit. There’s no better time of year to dive into a bowlful of crunchy, healthy granola filled with a mix of in-season blackberries, strawberries, raspberries & blueberries. Mix and match with the fruit for endless options as well.
Our favorite combo? We love Cascadian Farm’s Oats & Honey granola (available at Safeway- find your nearest one here) because it is all organic & it doesn’t include nuts (sometimes a girl needs granola sans almonds!). Then we add raspberries, strawberries & blackberries and cover the whole bowl in skim milk. This delicious and crunchy, sweet treat will leave you totally satisfied and curb any desire to graze or do additional snacking. It also makes a great mini-meal and we love it as breakfast, too.
