a peek inside my hair routine + bathroom

I’ve always been a firm believer in changing up your shampoo and conditioner on a rotating basis. I have learned to “train” my hair over the years and find that having a solid mix ready in my shower is the best.

For years I have suffered from a dry scalp – often brought on by sun exposure so I’ve long used Head & Shoulders to combat it. When they reached out to share my experience about their latest products, I figured no time like the present to share a peek at my bathroom (see inside my living room here.)

If you’re like me, you’ve previously thought of Head & Shoulders as just a shampoo to combat flakes in your scalp, but their latest lines are targeted at keeping hair healthy and nourished. Given my long locks, I tend to be rather attentive to my hair upkeep (although, let’s be honest, what girls aren’t?)

For the past few weeks, I’ve been working in the Smooth + Silky line and adore how it smells, not to mention it gives my hair a much needed refresh after heat styling + styling products throughout the week. In general, I try to wash my hair only 3-4 times (depending on workouts through the week) and then use dry shampoo to hit refresh. Using a good shampoo + conditioner sets the stage for good hair and (and with Head & Shoulders, a healthy scalp #winwin). I’m currently working on a post about how to get more volume in your hair so stay tuned for that.

Before May 16th, buy 3 Head & Shoulders shampoo or conditioners at Target, one of my favorite beauty destinations, and you can get a $5 gift card in exchange. The bottles seen here are limited edition, so be sure to keep an eye out for them.

What hair tips do you swear by? I’d love to hear them as I’m always experimenting!

I’ve actually heard a lot of good things lately about Head & Shoulders being healthy for your hair overall and not just for flaky scalps – thanks for the rec! 🙂

Can you provide details on the items you have in the bathroom? like the tray ontop of the toilet, for example.
