Off the Shoulder Top with Buttons

Summer ensemble

Pink sunnies

Here’s a fun fact: I’m wearing this shirt backwards – HA! When I saw it in person, I thought it was so darling with the buttons down the back. It wasn’t until I got home and went to wear it that I realized the buttons were meant to be down the front. (Let’s not talk about how when I asked the French salesman for a different size he failed to mention I had it on in the wrong direction…)

Off the shoulder

Chambray Off the Shoulder + White Denim

I love how this color pairs with white denim (my summer staple no doubt) so sharing a few other options of chambray off the shoulder pieces below in case you’re interested!

Chambray and Distressed Denim I Washington Square Park I wit & whimsy

Regardless, I am 100% into this trend and not about how to get off the bandwagon anytime soon. I’ve snapped up several dresses in this trend (remember this post?) and now a few tops.

Buttons Down the Back I off the shoulder

Recently I’ve been trying to make more an effort to shoot in locations never captured on wit & whimsy (I hope you’ve noticed!?) My brother just moved near Washington Square Park so on my way to check out his new pad I took the opportunity to shoot in this beautiful West Village park. The morning was so gorgeous and despite being 9AM everyone was out playing, catching up with friends, blowing bubbles…it reminded me how happy I am to live in a city that appreciates its parks.

And in case you missed it…I published my travel diary from Bordeaux, France yesterday! Check it out HERE!

  1. I love this top! How is sizing? Is it TTS? Their size guide isn’t much help and I can’t tell if it follows European sizing (read: tiny).

    1. I am usually a 6 but bought this in a 4 as it is a little roomy so would suggest one size down! I have gotten so many compliments – you will love it!
