France Packing List

What to Pack for Spring in France I wit & whimsy

Today I am excited to share a bit more about my upcoming trip to France for which I leave on Saturday! I will be heading to the Languedoc region with The Conseil Interprofessionnel des Vins du Languedoc (CIVL) which is the trade council representing the entire AOP wine sector of Languedoc. Having lived in Northern California and had the pleasure of many trips to wine country and also following last year’s trip to Bordeaux, I couldn’t be more excited to explore a new wine region and also a part of France that I’ve only briefly visited oh so long ago in approximately 2002.

A bit more background on where I’m headed: the Languedoc-Roussillon is the largest vineyard area and wine producing area in all of France and is just adjacent to the Mediterranean Sea so it benefits from loads of sunshine, surrounding mountains and a variety of soil types that allow for successful terroir for grape growing. This means I’ll be packing some of my newest spring finds and I can’t wait to sport lace, gingham, sandals and other warmer weather pieces.

Following the press trip I am headed up to Paris for a week! I have a few meetings while there and for the weekend my friend Rachel is coming from London to meet me. I also know a few others who will be in town while I’m there so I’m looking forward to fun dinner dates and coffee catchups while in my favorite city! I’ll be sharing lots on Instagram and Snapchat @meghandono on both so I hope you’ll follow along.

I am also packing this dress, these shorts (to wear with this sweater) and for Paris in particular I’ll be bringing these sneakers, these loafers as they are so great for walking a lot, this striped tee (but of course!), a trench coat, these walkable heels, these jeans, these jeans and my trusty leather jacket.

While in Paris I will also be donning (and shooting!) this dress, this dress and this dress.

Finally, a few things I never travel without include this as my carry on bag, my denim jacket, this pouch to keep important things together and my favorite pjs.

p.s. my favorite packing tips and five things not to miss in Paris.
