Everlane Day Boot Review I wit & whimsy

When I posted on Instagram that I had gotten the Everlane Day Boots I was inundated with “how are they?” and “will you report back!?”,  “worth it?!” and “can you let me know if you they are comfy?” questions! It thrilled me to know you guys also seem to love Everlane as much as I do and given the interest in these new boots the brand just recently launched last month, I wanted to share this outfit and my review of them!

comfortable boots

The first thing to know: these Day Glove boots are oh so comfortable. The buttery soft Italian leather is very supple and almost molds to your foot as a result – I love these boots because of this. I was surprised at how unstructured they were and yet how well they wear! True to the name they fit like a glove and get better with wear.

The 2-inch, stacked heel makes them incredibly handy for walking and after my first successful wear I was already thinking how great these boots would be for trips. You can wear them with jeans or a dress and walk all over town while still looking put together.

I like that they have a side zipper so getting in and out of them is a breeze and I think they hit perfectly at the ankle. I almost considered getting the white but I didn’t personally love the center seam down the front being so visible on that pair. It bothers me less on the black. I have a pair of flat black booties and several with more of 3-4 inch heel but these are the perfect in between pair. The lower heel makes them perfect for walking a lot and ideal as a day shoe.

I also love that the Day Boots come in five colors including fun ones like burgundy. As with all Everlane shoes, I personally found the Day Boot to fit true to size.

Everlane’s shoes are so, so well made and I have walked countless miles in my beloved Modern Loafers, the Day Heels and also the Modern Loafer Mules. You’re getting designer quality at a more reasonable price and the Day Boots are no exception. I have loved styling the Day Boots so far and know, especially come Winter, I’m going to get so much wear out of them!

Hope this review was helpful! Let me know if you end up getting a pair!

speaking of everlane — am thinking of buying the Day Tote; do you have it and if so, what are your thoughts? Does it withstand over time? I haul a lot of stuff around NYC, and I’m sick of investing in bags that I need to replace over and over again!

I actually don’t have it but may buy it as I’ve been disappointed in my (way overly priced) Mansur Gavriel tote. I’ve seen the Everlane bags in person and they are really well made and I think meant to be able to tote laptops and a bunch of other stuff!
