The other month I had lunch with the brand Erborian which was, truthfully, a brand I had never heard of. I’m pretty up to speed on brands given what I do for a living but I was excited to hear more about this French meets K-Beauty brand.
The brand was kind enough to gift me a suite of their product at lunch and I went to trying out a lot of them and one by one I fell in love. The Correcting Creme does wonders to cover up the redness I get on my chin and nose, the Glow Creme gives the prettiest lit-from-within radiance and then there’s the BB Creme. I’ve tried SO many BB Creams from brands in the past and never liked them as much as my beloved Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer for every day use. That is till now.
If you’re not familiar with the concept of a BB Cream, it is generally a lighter-weight face makeup that provides both coverage and the benefits of a skincare product. So you’ll often get hydration and smoothing in addition to redness relief, coverage, etc.
The Erborian BB Creme is a true game changer and I’ve been using it nearly every, single day since first testing it. In the above photo I am wearing only the cream and there is zero filter. My skin is instantly smoother, more glow-y and any enlarged pores, fine lines or dark spots are noticeably diminished. You can wear it as a primer of sorts and layer foundation over it or you can wear it alone. All summer I’ve been wearing it alone and love how it does the work of multiple products in just one application.
I wear the shade Clair and a little goes a long way. The below amount is enough to cover my entire face and I find it is best when applied with fingers. You can build up the coverage, too if you desire more full coverage.
I did the above face in 5 minutes. I’m wearing the Erborian BB Creme, NARS Soft Matte Concealer in Creme Brulee, Laura Mercier Setting Powder, Hourglass Bronzer in Diffused Bronze Light, Stila Huge Mascara, Glossier Boy Brow, Benefit Dallas Blush/Bronzer, NARS Blush in Orgasm and Laura Mercier Lipstick in Creme Coral which is sadly discontinued.
I will say that the shade range is super limited on this bb cream but I hope they’ll be launching new shades soon. They do blend really well and do a sort of color matching however.
Have any of you tried this product or anything from this brand?
