I’ve tried SO many BB Creams from brands in the past and never liked them as much as my beloved Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer for every day use. That is till now. Meet the best BB cream for glowy, filter-like skin: The Erborian BB Cream Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF20. I’ve been using this nearly every day since 2019.

Erborian BB Cream Review

If you’re not familiar with the concept of a BB Cream, it is generally a lighter-weight face makeup that provides both coverage and the benefits of a skincare product. So you’ll often get hydration and smoothing in addition to redness relief and coverage. It’s meant to be a do-it-all kind of product that makes getting ready a snap. 

The Erborian BB Creme is a true game changer and I’ve been using it nearly every, single day since first testing it. In the above photo I am wearing only the cream and there is zero filter.

With this BB Cream you’ll get:

Smoother skin. 

Upon applying the Erborian BB Creme you’ll notice pretty instantly – your skin looks like your skin – but better. Pores are diminished, fine lines minimized and skin is more awake and so much smoother looking. It has glycerin in the formula which helps the product give a smooth finish.

A glow factor.

The best aspect of this Erborian BB Creme is that it is like having the Instagram Paris filter put over your face. You’re instantly glowy in a good way and skin appears more radiant without looking shiny. The product has kigelia africana fruit extract, ginseng root extract, wild yam root extract and glabra licorice root extract that all contribute to the glowy results.

Dark spot and dark circle coverage.

Thanks to its tinted base, dark circles and dark spots are diminished upon application.

Imperfections blurred.

Suffering from breakouts? You’ll notice any redness is largely diminished after applying the BB Cream.

More plump, hydrated skin.

I love that this BB cream formula feels hydrating rather than drying. Skin looks more plump after application and you won’t experience any dry patches or flaking with this formula.

SPF. 

This formula has SPF 20 in it thanks to active ingredients Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate/Octinoxate, Titanium Dioxide, and Zinc Oxide for sun protection.

How To Use Erborian BB Cream In Your Skincare Routine

I wear the shade Clair of the Erborian BB Creme and a little goes a long way. The below amount is enough to cover my entire face and I find it is best when applied with fingers. You can build up the coverage, too if you desire more full coverage. Skin will have a velvety, matte yet glowy finish. After my morning skincare routine, I apply a primer like this one and then the Erborian BB Creme.

I’ve also found the cream pairs really well with other foundation-like products, too. I love to combine it with this tinted serum and also my favorite fuller-coverage foundation: the Armani Luminous Silk foundation (I am wearing the BB Cream and Armani foundation here for reference).

Erborian BB Creme Ingredients

The Erborian BB Creme is free of sulfates SLS and SLES, parabens, and phthalates. It has a really velvety feel to it and you only need a little to cover your whole face. It will blend out really seamlessly.

Where to buy the Erborian BB Creme

The Erborian BB Cream costs $46.00 and I found a tube lasted me an entire year with regular use. You can buy it at Ulta or Shopbop. They also offer a travel size if you’d like to test before you commit to a full tube.

I will say one drawback of this product is that that the shade range for skin tones is super limited. I hope they’ll be launching new shades soon.

Erborian CC Cream vs BB Cream

And if you’re curious about the Erborian CC Cream vs the Erborian BB Creme – I have both and I find that the main difference is the coverage and the finish. The Erborian CC Cream does not have as much coverage as the BB Cream and it has a more dewy finish. I don’t find that the CC Cream holds up as well during the day either and overall think it was designed more with color correction in mind than coverage. I will say however if you combine the CC Cream and BB cream you can get a nice effect of a dewy, super light coverage look but it isn’t necessary. If I had to chose between the two, hands down I would choose the Erborian BB Creme over and over again.
