When, after visiting The Catskills and Scribner’s Lodge for the first time this summer, I said I wanted to return when the Fall foliage set in, I meant it! I promptly asked Carly if she’d be game and we headed up the other week to take in the Fall colors and eat till our pants barely zipped – ha!
A Fall Weekend in The Catskills
Carly and I hit up some favorites from my last trip to the area including The Phoenicia Diner (get the half orders of pancakes and French Toast – you won’t regret it!) and Twin Peaks Coffee & Donuts (the donuts are served warm with made to order toppings and glazes – to die for!) We also did a fair amount of driving around to marvel at the colors changing on the mountainsides and to search for an apple orchard with some fruit still left on the trees. We also hit up American Glory for some great BBQ.
Scribner’s Catskills Lodge once again made a great home away from home and we took full advantage working and hanging out in their gorgeous great room, eating burgers with the best fries at their on-site restaurant Prospect and making s’mores at the fire pit on property.
I’m heading Upstate again this weekend but to my friends’ place in the Hudson Valley this time! Expect more Fall goodness from me over on Instagram.
