So we’ve been making a conscience effort to get more protein into our diets and therefore have found ourselves poking around the kitchen a bit more to get creative.
In that spirit, I thought I’d share my favorite go-to when it comes to whipping up some delicious grilled chicken. I have my mother to thank for this tasty trick. The next time you go to cook chicken, instead of using a fancy pre-bottled marinade with lots of unknown and unhealthy ingredients or a bunch of spices, just soak your thawed chicken in Italian dressing. Our favorite is the Light Wish-Bone Italian. And that’s it- you don’t have to add anything!
Once your chicken has been marinated for 1-2 hours, just throw it on a grill and pair with your favorite side (my preference is roasted asparagus with parmesan cheese…mmm!) You can also do this easy marinade with lean turkey breasts which are actually lower in fat.
