The way I get dressed each day has certainly undergone a transformation in the past two months. But with the change in seasons and therefore the welcoming of warmer weather, I’m keen to have some Spring finds in my wardrobe that are comfortable to work from home in but also some pieces that will make me feel a bit more normal when I head out for my solo walks in the sunshine or head to my roof to read or enjoy dinner.
The pieces included in today’s Spring Clothing Try On post were chosen specifically for being versatile, comfortable or a dose of dress up for when you need it. Because, if you’re like me, you miss getting dressed properly each day. I’m again partnering with one of my go-to brands for affordable, feminine basics, Ann Taylor and I hope you enjoy the pieces I share here!
A Spring Clothing Try On Session
Mixed Stripe Puff Sleeve Sweater (M) // Jeans (27) // Sneakers // Tortoiseshell Print Belted Button Skirt (4) // Bow Flats
This striped sweater is the perfect Spring sweater! The cropped fit means it goes well with high rise jeans and denim shorts as well as skirts. And I also think it would look so cute over a bikini. I adore the half sleeve on it.
Textured Button Peplum Top (M) // Jeans (27) // Bow Flats
I can never have too many white blouses. This one features pretty detail like buttons down the front, a flattering waist-line seam and a textured fabric that makes it a stand out. I think it looks great with blue jeans but would also pair well with black pants when we’re back to meetings. It also would look pretty with white jeans.
Striped Fringe Knit Jacket (M) // Cropped Pima Cotton Tee (L) // Jeans (28) // Bow Flats
Ok this is outfit is so me, is it not?!
I absolutely love Ann Taylor’s jackets and always look forward to which ones they’ll bring out in the Spring for good transitional pieces. Spring tweed jackets are my jam (so much so that I wrote a whole post about them last Spring) and this Striped Fringe Knit Jacket is the prettiest color and I love the texture on it. The cropped fit makes it look so good paired with high waisted jeans. And I have to say, I can’t even put into words how good it made me feel to be in a “very me” outfit. It was an instant mood boost when I donned this look.
Want a comfy jumpsuit you can wear working from home now but then dress up with heels and a good pair of earrings later down the line? Look no further. This jumpsuit is so flattering with the v-neck and cinched elastic waistband.
I love that it can be worn casually or dressed up.
Matte Jersey Tie Front Shell (M) // The Pinstripe Paperbag Short (4) // Sneakers // Bow Flats
Shorts weather is almost upon us and these flattering shorts feature cute pinstripes and a good high waist. This look can be worn casually with sneakers (I’d top this look with a denim jacket!) or dressed up with a feminine flat. The tie front top comes in both this navy and red and is flattering while also being practical for hot days.
Cropped Pima Cotton Tee (L) // Jeans (27) // Ballet Flats
Last but not least had to show the pretty blush color this tee comes in! I’m not one for a lot of color but this sweet shade was too hard to resist. While the product name has “Cropped” in it, I didn’t find it very cropped but did opt to size up to a Large because there’s nothing worse than a too-tight t-shirt!
. . .
Did you have a favorite piece from the try on? I’d love to hear what you are eyeing! I’ll also be showing up-close shots and videos of these pieces on my Instagram Stories today if you’d like to see even more. And tell me – did you like this format of a try on post? Should I do more?
p.s. affordable new loungewear and some favorite small businesses.

Is the striped sweater navy or black stripes?
Navy!

Has something happened to your instagram? It says user not found?
Not sure why you’re getting that error message – all is well on Instagram!
I love the white blouse for myself but the blush tee is so good on you that I’m wondering if I need to take a chance on it! And that jacket – somehow a neutral and also a statement? ?????? Love the photos – way to make it work and stay safe at the same time.
Thank you so much – so glad you liked the pieces + new post layout!
