First off, I have to start today’s post with a massive thank you for everyone’s amazing support stemming from Monday’s announcement. I was filled with such gratitude and joy and sincerely can’t say thank you enough for the kind words, well wishes and swell of encouragement. Thank you, thank you! Now that it is out in the world you can bet that I’ll be sharing more at what my “new life” looks like.
Now onto today’s topic which is THIS BAG. Ladies, your bag for Fall and Winter and really any month out of the year has arrived with the debut of the Kate Spade Cameron Street Byrdie Bag. It comes in four gorgeous shades that are easy to fall for but the New Yorker in me went with black because I know I am going to get so much use out of this bag.
I love the size of it because it’s just slightly bigger than your average saddle bag meaning it fits your wallet or even a pair of folded up ballet flats (I did this during my first use of the bag! Always need to have flats on me.)
I wore this look uptown yesterday (I always feel like I have to dress up to go uptown – completely in my head but I kind of love it. Feels like dressing for the occasion for this downtown girl!) Last year I had bought multiple bow tie blouses and sadly none of them worked out. When I saw this Kate Spade one in the Fall catalogue and then in the Lower Fifth Avenue store, I knew I had to have it. I love how feminine it is (it also comes in all black which is très chic!) but will be great to layer with a cute jacket and jeans and my favorite black flats come Fall.
The new Fall arrivals from Kate Spade in general are so, so good. I rounded up my favorites below but I immediately earmarked these shoes. I mean, could they be any more my style? (They’d be perfect with this outfit in fact. Oh sweet justification…ha!)
I actually have another shoot from Central Park coming your way tomorrow. It really is my happy place here in the city and even if I have no excuse, if I take meetings even remotely near the park, I find a reason to pop in and just soak up Mother Nature amidst the concrete.
Oh and I chopped my hair! About 5 inches off – what do you all think!? It’s the first time in years and years I’ve done anything but a trim to the ol’ ends if you can believe it.
I hope you guys are having a great week! Thank you again for all the amazing support these past few days – you all are the best!
