Every September as Fashion Week rolls slowly to a close, the sun begins to set earlier in the evening and brisk winds pick up during dusk, I find myself dreaming of fall foliage, layers, scarves, light jackets and…naturally, boots. Or, more specifically, booties. And, this year, I’m wanting to expand my collection without breaking the bank (i.e.; I can’t have these) so I figured I’d eliminate the hunt for most of you (apologies for those of you who live for the thrill of it) and round up some of the best looking booties that will keep your wallet fat and your feet stylish.

Favorites anyone??

Nine West Runway Relief

{gifted} Nine West boots, tank and bag, Silence + Noise blazer, BDG jeans, Cheetah is the New Black necklace, Jo ring

How rad are these boots??

It’s only just begun and what a New York Fashion Week it’s been already! From speaking at IFB yesterday to trolling around 5th Avenue and the Meatpacking with my fab visitor ms. alicia (who also snapped these pics- thanks girl!), it’s been a whirlwind, but a wonderful one.

Today’s agenda also included being part of a very special Nine West campaign that allows fashion to not only look good, but do good. And, coolest of all, it involved getting shot this morning by the Nigel Barker himself. Dreamy, it was.

Nine West has created a new custom-designed boot equipped with The Fitbit that will track how many steps each model takes during this season’s Fashion Week- from castings and fittings to post-fashion show fêtes. Each step they take translates to a dollar amount that Nine West will donate directly to Fashion Targets Breast Cancer. So cool right?!

So here’s how you can get involved!

  • Twitter: Follow @NineWest and retweet #runwayrelief. Beginning 9/8, for every retweet, we will donate $1 to CFDA’s Fashion Targets Breast Cancer
  • Runway Relief CD: Purchase the compilation CD on iTunes to help donate to CFDA’s Fashion Targets Breast Cancer
  • Shop the Gear: Purchasing the merchandise will support CFDA’S Fashion Targets Breast Cancer

Frill Seeker

I tend to be a huge pack rat (ask any of my friends and they’ll tell you it for damn sure), but frankly I have found, when it comes to fashion, this little habit can come in quite handy. Point in case: These wide leg Theory jeans.

J.Crew top, Theory jeans, Nine West pumps (also seen here), vintage jewelry

For a couple years now I’ve been relying on my skinny jean and jegging arsenal (for example here, here and here), but I bought these Theory jeans a couple years ago and bring them out here and there, but I’m thrilled they’ll start to see daylight a bit more now that the wide leg jean trend is back. I love them with frilly, girly tops, but also dig them when styled with a low key, comfy tee and a good pair of wedges.

Want to see more on how to style the wide leg jean look? Check out The Frisky’s post on it. You can also snag a pair of trouser jeans like mine…I like these from 7 for all Mankind.
