Sarah Flint Perfect Pump I wit & whimsy

Back today with more summer work style inspiration! I absolutely love having a reliable pump that can be worn a multitude of ways but as a New Yorker I tend to put a lot of mileage on my shoes so comfort is key for me.

Sarah Flint’s line has become a go-to for me after falling in love with her kitten heels that I wear so, so often due to their comfort level. (See here, here, here & here!) Now I’ve been wearing her Perfect Pump which pairs as well with dresses as it does jeans depending on your office environment. I’m excited today to share how I styled the Perfect Pump in Taupe Suede two ways for your summer work wardrobe.

Sarah actually spent two years working on the technical and design details of the Perfect Pump continuing to make tweaks and improvements until she felt they were truly perfect and offered women both the style and comfort they’d be looking for in heels. I love that they come in three heel heights as my 20s-self would have loved the 100mm but my 30s-self absolutely loves the 85mm. The shoes come in your classic neutral colors but also seasonal colors so that once you’re hooked on the shoe (and trust me, you will be) you can add some variety to your outfits.

I think the taupe is such a beautiful neutral and love that it can be worn year round. I’ll be styling it with some floral pieces for summer occasions no doubt. (I am also looking to add a red to my wardrobe so as soon as Sarah drops that, I’ll be first in line to buy). The black is also utterly classic and I love how my fellow bloggers Grace and Mary styled them. Other fans of the brand? Meghan Markle (she owns both the Black Nappa and Blush Nappa) and also Karlie Kloss and Lady Gaga.

So just what makes the shoe so darn comfy?

The design features a wider toe box to ease crowding and also 6mm of footbed padding and a raised arch support. The raised arch support, in my opinion, is the game changer. The shoes feel pillow-y when you put them on – and they stay feeling that way throughout the day! They also have a proprietary rubber sole that provides grip, comfort and longevity. So while many brands promise comfort, these really deliver and I also love the subtle design elements like the V-shape at the toe and the slim heel.

As I’ve gotten older I’ve majorly changed the types of shoes I buy. I look for comfort and practicality over trends and I very much believe in investing in good footwear that will withstand a lot of wear. I also love supporting a fellow female small business owner. Sarah designs her collection here in NYC and all the shoes are handmade in Italy. She sells direct to consumer so that the brand can charge a fraction of the price of other beautifully handcrafted shoes (they’re made in the same factories as Manolo Blahnik and Hermes shoes!) avoiding the traditional retail markup. (You’ll note they are nearly half of what Manolo charges…)

I trust you’ll feel the same about Sarah’s shoes and I’m excited to offer you an exclusive code for $50 off your first purchase of shoes on SarahFlint.com. Use code SARAHFLINT-MEGHAN50 (in all caps) at check out and let me know which style you go for! Be sure to check out her newest arrivals here. (She offers free shipping + free returns by the way.) I’m excited for you guys to experience what makes Sarah’s shoes so special!

I now have these shoes in both red and black, too! Seen here:

Love this color! I’ve been eyeing the Perfect Sandal, such classic gorgeous designs. And LOVE both of these looks, that dress is so cute and I love a heel with boyfriend jeans!

these look great — I work in an environment which has a pretty conservative/business dress code, so comfortable work pumps are a must for me. I haven’t heard of sarah flint before, but am intrigued by the promise of a more comfortable heel; will have to check these out!

I love that they’re comfy for long work days but stylish enough to be worn for non-work occasions, too! I hope you give them a chance and love them!

  3. Like you I’ve changed what I look for in a shoe now that I’m in my 30s. Whereas I used to only want to spend my money on gorgeous but impractical high heels, now I want something I can *actually* walk around in all day, that looks as chic as it is comfortable. I’ve been eyeing up these mid-height pumps and the Natalie flats for a while now, so I think you’ve convinced me to order a pair because I absolutely love how you’ve styled these!
