I’ve previously mentioned how 2016 has been my year of podcasts in this post for part time bloggers & this post on my productivity hacks so today I thought I’d share five that have been sources of inspiration for me of late.
Girlboss Radio with Sophia Amoruso
File this podcast under things I wish I had been listening to for years! On each episode, Nasty Gal founder and author of #Girlboss Sophia Amoruso interviews world-class girlbosses who have made their mark in creative, cultural, and business ventures. She shares listeners’ #girlboss moments in each episode and every time I finish listening to an interview I am left feeling pumped and inspired. Glossier’s Emily Weiss, Moon Juice’s Amanda Bacon and ClassPass founder Payal Kadakia all lend stories about how they ended up where they are (and the lessons they learned along the way.)
TEDTalks Business
My guess is that most of you are familiar with TEDTalks but did you know you could tune into them via your headphones? In these talks you’ll hear from innovators, entrepreneurs and other professionals as they share their stories. TED itself is a nonprofit that is on a mission to share ideas worth spreading. My favorite episode was “How to find work you love” by Scott Dinsmore.
The Lively Show
The Lively Show is a weekly podcast by Jess Lively “designed to uplift, inspire, & add a little extra intention to your everyday.” Jess instantly feels like a close girlfriend and her episodes touch on a variety of aspects of our lives with everything from careers to home to relationships. I particularly love her ongoing message about intention in life as it makes me think a bit more carefully about my goals and decisions.
The School of Greatness
Lewis Howes is a NYT bestselling author, lifestyle entrepreneur and former pro athlete but from the moment you tune in you’ll realize he’s also born to public speak. He interviews some great people – that are rather varied in background – all with the goal os showcasing what makes people great. I loved his episode with Arianna Huffington. (And, funny story, the guys that came and helped me set up my SONOS recommended this podcast!)
Raise Your Hand and Say Yes
Tiffany Han’s podcast is meant to inspire and challenge you. She’s speaking to creative women who are in pursuit of their dreams and comes across as the practical but motivating friend we all need in our lives. My favorite episodes are those in which she interviews people.
Do you have any podcasts you love that I should add to my list? I’m always looking for recommendations!
p.s. this is my iPhone case that I get so many compliments on!
How did I not know there was a GirlBoss podcast?! Need to give that a listen ASAP!
Kendal // Life With Kendal
I felt the same way until recently and now I am obsessed! I love the women she interviews and now really need to read the book – have you read it!?
Adding GirlBoss to my list! I’d recommend The Skinny Confidential!
Let me know what you think of Girlboss! I really love it. Looking into The Skinny Confidential now- thank you for the reco!
