We finally had some true summer-like weather in NYC this weekend and it felt so good! As it warms up however it means starting to retire the sweatshirts and cozy sweaters I’ve been living in. So what does one wear when working from home when it is hot out? I thought a round up of WFH appropriate finds for the new season was in order. From linen jumpsuits to cotton dresses and tops, I found so many good pieces and best of all, they’re all under $150. The collage is shoppable and there are a few additional picks below, too.
shop the post:
- This t-shirt dress is from one of my favorite brands. It’s a basic I’d live in all summer long and you can’t beat the $30 price tag. Outside the house it would be so cute paired with white sneakers.
- This linen mid dress feels so chic and yet so comfortable, win win!
- Another midi dress that feels perfect for WFH life. It comes in tons of colors and has loads of good reviews.
- H&M has loads of great casual dresses for summer like this black kaftan style.
- Obsessed with this striped jumpsuit.
- The versatile style of this high neck tank plus the price means I just might need both the black and white one.
- This brand makes one of my favorite button down shirts and I think I might just need the linen one this season. Here’s the cotton version, too.
- How cute is this striped shirt dress? Looks very bump friendly, too if you’re expecting. Here’s another one I have my eye on.
- Another shirt dress that is such a good staple for your closet and also comes in black.
- This dress is so stylish and yet a simple WFH option. You know I love that puff sleeve detail! You can definitely wear it to many an ocassion once WFH restrictions lift.
- A simple neutral sandal currently on sale for under $50. Perfect to slip on for when you head out for a sanity walk.
- Just because we’re mostly at home as of late doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy white denim season. This straight leg style is both on trend and more comfortable than your typical skinny jean.
- These linen pants come in loads of colors and are $26! God bless the elastic waistband, too. Adding to my cart.
- While shorts may not always be appropriate for the office, this off-white pair is just right for WFH.
- These wide leg pants are also another great option when you’re just plain tired of your sweats but can’t give up an elastic waist band.
- How pretty is the blush color of this lightweight knit sweater?
- Similar to the other pair, these high waisted shorts are a comfortable but cute option. Love the tie on this pair.
- I haven’t been doing my hair most days so these pretty pearl pins are the perfect easy accessory.
- This gold ring is so my style. I’ve been donning my favorite delicate jewelry on select days and it feels like a tiny hint of normalcy.
- Another t-shirt that combines two of my favorite trends – polka dots and a puff sleeve – and is also on sale.
a few more picks:
p.s. more favorites under $100 & a try session with some spring picks.

It should be updated now! Sorry about that and thanks for letting me know, Eileen!
Both pairs of shorts are SOO cute!! I also love a good t-shirt dress and I am due for a new one. Thank you for sharing all of your simple yet chic picks!! <3

Just the post I was looking for! ?
So glad you found it helpful!
I purchased the linen pants (#13) and I LOVE them. They are so comfy yet have a cute, polished vibe that works with so many different tops. I got them in black, but now I am eyeing the other colors. 🙂 Thank you for the suggestion!
Yay! Thank you so much for sharing this feedback – I may need to get them myself now, too!
