It may be because of the days I spent in Ballet class when I was a little girl, or the fact that nothing is more girly than a tutu, or because any of my friends will tell you that I will take any opportunity to wear a tutu (case in point: a tacky sweater christmas party this past weekend – had to throw a tutu into the mix), but whatever the case, I couldn’t be more thrilled to see the tutu as an acceptable option for a night out.
I’ve swooned over Haute Hippie, BCBG and Cynthia Steffe, etc. Now I just need an “excuse” to buy one and I’ll be one happy girl. Seen any great tutu skirts? Would love to know where!

My 3 year old is often running around the house in a tutu and I eye her with jealousy – she looks so darn cute and can get away with wearing anything anywhere. I am going to by the tiered skirt from oldnavy.com that way if I don’t wear it much, it was not a big loss.
