BusinessWeek’s Gene Marcial was right– despite current economic conditions, women will continue to buy makeup and the likes because we consider cosmetics and beauty products our staples, or necessities in our daily lives.
Avon is being praised for having its products be “recession resistant” and apparently, of the 14 Street analysts who follow Avon, 10 recommend buying the stock and four rate it a hold. So they must be good, right? Maybe it’s time I try Avon’s products. I did try their ‘mark‘ line back in the day, but haven’t in quite some time. I wouldn’t even know where to start though!
Marcial notes, “truly a global giant, Avon, which began operations in 1886, could well claim Keats’ immortal line, ‘a thing of beauty is a joy forever,’ as its inspiration,” and I could not agree more.
Sounds like you should definitely join me in visiting Avon online. I recommend starting your search with their Best Sellers. I’m sure they won’t dissapoint!
