Winter is here and so is my color palette of choice. Can you guys sense the theme? All.of.the.gray.and.black! Recently I paired a gray hooded coat with dark jeans and black boots. In Paris I donned black suede leggings and a gray cape. And in October I went monochromatic in all gray shades. ‘Tis the season for all the dark neutrals (and hibernation….hello, Making a Murderer binging…)
I waxed on about Everlane sweaters in my last outfit post and here I am debuting the one my mom got for me for Christmas. I have it in cream/ivory (styled here, here) and just love it. The thickness is ridiculously cozy and the fit so good. Paired it with a pair of slip on sneakers (a trend I finally caved in on and can already hear Taylor saying “I told you so…” – HA!) and a dramatic Carmen Sandiego-inspired hat (currently on sale!) I adore the leather bow on it and while it is over-sized and definitely makes a statement, it is still functional and feminine.
How has your week been? Being back at work has been struggle city for me as I attempt to get back in the groove of things. I intentionally didn’t make plans each night this week so I could go to the gym and start to find my routine again. Anyone else with me on this front!? It hasn’t helped that winter finally arrived in New York and it was ELEVEN degrees and so windy when we shot these photos on Tuesday morning. Talk about a wake up call…
Hope you’re having a good week! It is (almost) Friday!
