Cable Knit Sweater + Hitting Reset

Classic Cable Knit Sweater I wit & whimsy

Happy Monday! I hope you guys had a good weekend. I, for one, am thrilled to be starting a new week as I am looking to majorly reset and get back onto my usual groove. After falling sick back to back weeks as I mentioned on Friday, I have been completely out of any form of routine or normal schedule and it has been eating away at me.

Truth be told, I am still not feeling 100% but this week I am determined to get back to working out of my co-working space at last and I also have a variety of fun things on my calendar that I’m so looking forward to starting with a Fall cooking class with Carly this afternoon. (Fall bucket list item = check!) I’m craving getting back to my normal morning routine particularly using my 5 minute journal (my days truly miss it when I’m not using it!) and I’m glad to have my appetite nearly fully back at long last so I can get back to cooking. I had friends over for chili (I used this recipe and it was delicious!) and cornbread on Friday and it felt so cozy and Fall and reminded me how much I love slow cooker season.

I’m ready to incorporate more wellness and meditation into my every day. As I have such a busy schedule ahead of me before the year ends, I need to keep my health up. In looking at my calendar this weekend I realized I only have 4 full weekends left in New York in 2019 (!!!!) It’s going to fly by.

Classic Cable Knit Sweater

Onto the outfit…Admittedly, I haven’t seen anything I’ve liked at Banana Republic in years until this month. I instantly picked up this sweater when I saw it because it is such a good take on the timeless cable knit. I also bought these corduroy pants and can’t wait to wear the two together. (Can you believe corduroy is back? My mom is going to be so happy – she loves corduroy pants- ha!) I saw a lot of other good pieces at BR on my recent trip in-store. So I’m sharing my favorites rounded up below. Most notable? This dress that comes in 4 colors and looks just like the one I wore here and this teddy coat that’s super similar to the one I own and love. Also love these super affordable booties.

And I can’t not mention Everlane’s new Soft Day Tote. I am in love with this practical bag! It’s buttery soft yet super sturdy. In addition, it’s safe to say that I’ve found my new work bag and carry-on travel bag. And FYI if you’re a Nordstrom shopper, they are one again doing an Everlane pop-up on-site!

Banana Republic Sweater (size M; comes in 4 colors; also like this one and this one) // J.Crew Jeans (Size 27) // Gucci Loafers (Look for less here) // Everlane Soft Day Tote (c/o)

p.s. Best jeans under $100 and affordable fashion finds from Amazon.

I love this cable knit sweater! It’s such a classic piece that can be dressed up or down. I’m also a big fan of corduroy pants, so I can see myself wearing this outfit a lot this fall and I’m glad to hear that you’re feeling better and getting back into your routine. I know how important it is to have a healthy lifestyle, especially when you’re as busy as you are.
