The moment I saw this romper in the Shopbop sale the other week it was an “Add to cart” scenario. The feminine floral embroidery, the long sleeves with bows…sold! I don’t get on board with every trend but I certainly went full tilt on all the cute tops and dresses and rompers that have great sleeve details. (And let’s face it, I love a good romper – as seen here, here & here!)

Who else was left so inspired yesterday on International Women’s Day? I loved seeing all of the uplifting and supportive messages and people out on the streets making their voices heard. I think my heart swelled in my chest when I saw this, in particular.

As I’ve discussed here and here, I’ve been more compelled in recent months to stay more informed, speak up, make my opinion heard and do things that can help make a small difference. I’ve loved seeing some of my favorite brands do the same. I’ve also admired my friends who have spoken up and spoken out. My friend Grace captured a lot about how I’ve felt in balancing the state of our world and penning a lifestyle blog that puts up 5 posts per week. (Thank you for this post, Grace!)

Maybe it is because I’m older, maybe it is because of recent events or maybe it’s because last year I became a female small business owner, but I feel a fire in my gut now more than ever. We can all achieve a lot when we are kind to one another and work together and I want to continue to carry the light of that sentiment with me in my every day.
