There is no doubt that I am a city girl through and through. I thrive off of the hustle and bustle surrounding me at all times but man, sometimes a girl’s gotta get out and get some fresh air.
Fresh air is exactly what Bekka and I sought last week when we drove up to Westchester County (put my Enterprise CarShare membership to use again!) in pursuit of apples and the great outdoors.
We were greeted by the most beautiful day and on our way home we stopped by the Rockefeller State Park Preserve where we snapped these photos.
Honestly days like these – even when some work is involved – they really recharge my batteries. I always love coming home to the city, and particularly my charming corner of Brooklyn, but there’s something to be said for getting out and spending some time in nature.
My family will laugh and tell you I’ve never been much of a country girl but I have to say that on days like this, I think I’m learning to embrace that side of myself 😉
