How was your guys’ weekend? Mine was so wonderful as we had incredible fall weather and I spent some time upstate taking in all the beautiful foliage. I also got some work done around my apartment and had girlfriends over last night for chili, vino and a movie night. Perfect way to cap off a fun + low key weekend I would say! (I also watched a lot of VEEP episodes – does anyone else watch it? I just started and love it!)
I was killing time before an uptown meeting the other day and decided to pop into Topshop (it had been years since I’d been in one of their stores!). I spotted this dress at the front of the store immediately upon stepping foot inside and bought it without even trying it on given I am mildly obsessed with high-neck pieces right now. I pulled a few more cute Topshop pieces to browse below, too (all under $200!)
I love all the detailing, the blousey sleeves and the pretty fringe details. When I describe it, I feel like that’s too many trends for one dress but somehow it works, right? I ended up wearing it to a busy day of meetings with brands and got a compliment at every meeting! (Don’t you love those kind of days?! HA!) I think it would be really chic with black heeled booties as well but for this outfit and backdrop I decided to go with gray over the knee boots.
Also hello new hair! I’ve really been enjoying my shorter, blonder locks so I went in and had both touched up. I decided to go for a cooler blonde that was brighter at the ends. My colorist Fran pretty much always nails what I ask for (but if you ask her she’ll tell you I never know if I like it for a couple days till I’ve gotten used to it!)
I have loads of fun content planned for this week and have been working hard at better operationalizing the ol’ wit & whimsy HQ so hope to bring you more in the near future. P.S. a reminder to send me questions for my upcoming Q&A!
Have a great start to the week you guys! xx

I’ve never been a huge Topshop shopper either, but I may have to give them another try after seeing this dress. It looks great on you with your boots!
Thanks so much, Katie!! There were several other items I wanted to purchase but am trying to be a bit more budget savvy these days 😉 Worth a perusal though for sure!
