You guys, even though I was sweating profusely during the making of these photos, I had so much fun exploring the DUMBO area of Brooklyn this past weekend. I’ve been over there only a couple of times and decided it would be fun to switch up landscapes for my next few outfits (I love you East Village but you’ve become a bit overdone when it comes to ol’ w&w 😉 ).
If you’re not familiar, DUMBO stands for Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass (said bridge is seen above) and it’s a growing neighborhood that has a spectacular waterfront park that has gotten better and better over the years.
In addition to the park, the neighborhood is full of darling shops, charming cobblestone streets and some beautiful street art like this incredible rainbow wall that I happened to see in my Uber ride over. It seemed like the perfect backdrop for this fun culottes jumpsuit that I couldn’t wait to don. It is only $73 and from a new-to-me brand from the UK called Missguided (also available at Nordstrom!)
They have so many fun pieces at such affordable prices that makes it fun to explore some of the trends coming down the pipeline (such as culottes – they’re baaaaaack!) Be sure to check sizing however as it can be a bit tricky given it is a British label so for example, this is a size 10 (I’m typically a size 6 in U.S. sizing) and it is a bit snug. But I can’t wait to wear a leather jacket with it or even layer a crop top over it to give it a totally different look. It’s so versatile!
Some other favorites of mine from the line right now include…
Happy, happy Friday, all! My weekly roundup will be live tomorrow and I hope you have a great weekend!

I loooove DUMBO. Beautiful dress and photos. If you don’t mind me asking, on what street was the rainbow wall? thank you!
