December Beauty Edit

December 5, 2017

I admittedly titled this post November Beauty Edit at first before remembering we were already in early December. This year truly has flown by! So for this year’s last Beauty Edit, I hope you enjoy the products that I’ve been testing + loving recently.

wit & whimsy's November 2017 Beauty Edit

Hourglass Cosmetics Ambient Lighting Palette Volume 3:

This palette is so good it is nearly sold out everywhere online since its debut for the holiday season. I’ve used Hourglasses’ ambient powders before and this palette gives me so many options! I am obsessed with the rich swash of color the blushes give and then the illuminators are so great for an everyday glow. You can literally brighten, contour, illuminate and finish your skin with this kit so needless to say I’ve been using it almost daily since it arrived in the mail.

Skinceuticals Hylaronic Acid Intensifier:

I think of this as a secret weapon potion for my skin whenever it is feeling parched. I tend to suffer from dryness on my nose (and under my nose), around my eyes and on my chin and whenever I couple this with my nighttime moisturizer, those dry patches are virtually gone by morning. It is the perfect boost for thirsty skin and leaves my skin feeling more taught, too.

Erno Laszlo Luminous Vitamin C Peel:

You guys know by now that I’m a big fan of Vitamin C to brighten my skin and make it look more alive and photo ready. And, while I’m not one for two step beauty products that much, this one is worth it. Step 1 of this peel exfoliates your skin (and basically looks/smells like a grainy orange juice – so lovely!) and then Step 2 is a serum that brightens and moisturizes your skin is left feeling super smooth and looking super bright. If you suffer from dark spots this is also a great option for you.

Mark Cheek Magnet in Salmon It Up:

The photo doesn’t do this blush justice as it is a softer color in real life but I am really, really into this blush. The faintest swipe does major work for your cheekbones. I was honestly shocked how much I liked it as this is a brand I don’t often use / hasn’t impressed me in the past. If I am doing a quick 5-minute face, I’ve been reaching for this time and time again!

Have you paired the Skinceuticals HA Intensifier with their CE Ferulic? It has the most insane effects for rehydrating AND evening skin tone. I’ve basically quit foundation because of these two products.
