It’s my last beauty edit of the year! And I’ve no doubt saved some of the best for last it appears as I really, really, really love each of the products in today’s post. I try out so many products throughout the year but The Beauty Edit serves as the highly curated recommendations that I feel are worth your $$$.
Hope you’ll enjoy this edit and do let me know if you have experience with any of these products!
Estée Lauder ‘Double Wear Nude’ Cushion Stick Radiant Makeup:
At first I thought I hated the application of this foundation but once I figured out the right amount to apply I was hooked! The name is spot-on as ‘radiant’ is exactly how I’d describe my skin after using this makeup. I’m rather loyal to my Bareminerals BareSkin foundation for shoot days and Laura Mercier Flawless Fluide on every other day, but this Estee Lauder foundation provided this awesome lit-from-within kind of glow that allowed me to skip any sort of glow-y primer. It stays on all day, blends well thanks to the cushion applicator, is super weightless feeling (a requirement in my book) and is perfectly portable for travel. I wear Ecru in this makeup in case that’s helpful!
PHLUR Fragrance in Hanami:
PHLUR is the new fragrance kid on the block and they are attempting to shakeup the current industry. I actually loved every scent of theirs when I was introduced to the line but landed on Hanami and I love wearing it nearly every day. It’s super light and fresh smelling but notable enough that I often get people asking what I’m wearing. Better yet? It retails for $85 which is far less than a lot of fragrances in department stores. In case you’re curious about the brand, they let you try two weeks worth of their fragrances for just $10. If you find one you love, apply that $10 to a full sized bottle! #brilliant.
Giorgio Armani Eccentrico Mascara:
I have about a dozen mascaras that sit on my dresser (#junkie!) and while this Stila one remains my favorite (I’ve gotten so many of my girlfriends hooked!), after trying this Girogio Armani one, I’ve been adding it into my rotation. The brush is super firm so you can easily build volume and there is zero clumping or flaking.
Kate Somerville Deep Tissue Repair Cream:
Hello, new favorite moisturizer! This stuff feels incredible going on and my skin was noticeably more supple and firm each morning that I woke up. Kate Somerville makes some of my favorite products (this is my #1 bought skincare product every year) and this cream is now high on the list. Overtime, this cream also helps to minimize fine lines and wrinkles (bless!), improve moisturization and can even reduce skin redness. I use it after I apply my serums and topicals and also love the light scent it has that makes me feel like I just went to the spa.
Skinceuticals Hydrating B5 Gel:
Beauty editor friends have long told me how much they love this stuff so I added it to my nighttime routine as soon as temperatures in New York dipped below 50. When I didn’t use it I immediately noticed my skin stinging because it was too dry! It’s got a high dose of hyaluronic acid in addition to B5 so it can help skin repair radiance and making it more supple. It’ll actually work to improve the effects of your daily moisturizer. If you experience winter skin, this is well worth your investment as you only need a couple of drops ensuring this will last you for a while.
