You know those pieces you spot when you walk into a store and you immediately scoop up? That was this skirt for me.
I don’t wear a whole ton of color so I even surprised myself with how much I loved the bright embroidery on this mini. But at $50 it was an easy impulse purchase and I love it paired with my favorite summer shoes of all time.
Since I work from home most days, I truly have started to miss the element of getting up and getting ready for an office each day. Sure, I treasure no makeup / workout clothes days no doubt, but there’s also something fun about picking out an outfit each day (at least for me there is!)
I wear mostly subtle, simple jewelry but these new stacked rings and this bangle were just the additions this ensemble needed!
I shot these photos over on Dean Street in Cobble Hill which I think is up for the running of one of my favorite streets in my new neck of the woods. It is home to one of my favorite restaurants, Rucola and Blue Bottle Coffee which I’ve loved since my days living in San Francisco.
I’ll admit I am no where near dressing up like this while out in Colorado this week, however. Workout clothes and denim has been the name of the game (did you catch my packing list yesterday!?)
As much as I love summer I’m looking forward to slightly cooler temps where you can easily transition your wardrobe. Shorts paired with blazers, skirts paired with sweaters and booties…it’s some of my favorite type of outfits to wear!
And wanted to put a call out for questions! It’s been a while since I’ve done a Q&A so feel free to comment with anything you’re curious about, email me (meghan [@] witwhimsy.com) or fill out this form! Excited to see what you guys ask!

That skirt looks amazing on you! I almost bought a pair of embroidered slacks the other day but the hem didn’t hit me right so I passed. I’ve been on the hunt for a substitute ever since.
Thank you, Dawnie!!
