We knew when we got the pretty invite for Twinkle by Wenlan and having seen the incredible footage of the show during the Spring 2010 Ready to Wear season last September, we wouldn’t be disappointed. What we didn’t know is that it would be one of our absolute favorite shows of Fashion Week.
Twinkle’s Fall 2010 show wove a story of a brooding fairy tale in the forest. The color palette goes from gorgeous mossy greens and mauves mixed with the neons of the city lights.
Twinkle by Wenlan left us wanting more, more and more. Here’s what we saw, what we loved and what we want!
Edgy and geometric blacks & whites:
Want this dress. LOVE this scarf (all you cold weather fashionistas better rock it as we California girls don’t quite have use for it!)
This sweater is so great. We want it now. with cozy tights. And tall black riding boots. Ooo la la.
Baby cable knits:
Obsessed with this dress. The shag detail on the bottom is great. We saw it on jackets and sweaters at Ports 1961 as well.
Unexpected cut out backs and sharp razorbacks:
Fav sweater dress ever on the model in the background. That back is of life.
See the model in the background. How a-mazing is that back? Love!
Draped and flowing one shouldered dresses:
This take on the one-shouldered trend is wonderful.
Colored stone necklaces (a whole post about Twinkle’s new jewelry line to come- it was that fabulous) & jeweled belts:
Over-sized sweaters, often with hoods and chunky knits:
Love this look. So cozy, yet chic and fun.
Color splashes & neons:
Ay, caramba! This shade of purple was all over runways. And we are excited about it (when done right, but of course)
We’re positive this dress was made for editor, Andrea.
Perfect party dresses:
We’re not the biggest fans of velvet. But this look is just darling and the necklace is a perfect addition.
Loving this dress. Easily could carry you from work to cocktails.
Sassy dress we are crushing on. The front zipper is going to be big in Fall.
Coats with wide lapels:
