I always find holiday parties the perfect time to mix up your beauty routine so today I’m sharing some recommendations on how to do just that!
Foundation First.
I don’t use foundation daily but for parties I want my makeup to last so I’ll apply Bare Minerals BareSkin with the EcoTools Skin Perfecting Brush. Then apply corrector and/or concealer wherever needed (I swear by this one.)
Add a glow.
First set your concealer with your favorite powder and then subtly sweep bronzer with an angled brush across your face. This $11 bronzer has been my go-to since college!
Embrace Highlighting
This is a step I all too often forget but it’s a great one especially when skin can look a bit dull during winter! Subtly sweep highlighter onto your cheek bones and the bridge of your nose. This Laura Mercier kit is such a great value and makes this step practically effortless. (The powder is the one I use for highlighting!)
Try Colored Eyeliner
Instead of wearing tried and true black eyeliner this holiday season, mix it up! I love wearing a dark green eyeliner to highlight my blue eyes but also love the look of gold liner against a bronze-y smoky eye. Upon applying eyeliner, add 3-4 coats of mascara for drama. This one is my favorite for nighttime.
Go for a bold lip.
I’m all about berrys and reds this season. I recently became addicted to the Bite Beauty Matte Creme Lip Colors. The Brandy color is what I wore everyday in Europe (it photographs so well and is the perfect berry shade! I got loads of requests on snap and Twitter about what color it was!) and also their Fraise color is a gorgeous red. They stay on so well!
