There’s something about the first nice day of Spring that always makes me want to get dressed up and head to the West Village and that’s just what I did on this particular morning when I accessorized my outfit with the sun in my face and a coordinating pep in my step.
I spent a lot of my first few NYC years in the West Village so it will always hold a place in my heart. There are so many secret nooks and crannies that make it ideal for walking around with no particular agenda and it remains a favorite neighborhood of mine to head to on days without very many plans. (A lot of the spots in my NYC guide are in this gem of a ‘hood.)
Now, this skirt! I love it so much. It reminds me of playing dress up when I was little. Attempting to recreate scenes from Hello,Dolly!, my sister and I would pile on skirts so we had these big, full midi or full length skirts. And to this day it is a silhouette I absolutely love. I brought this skirt with me to London as well and dressed it down a bit. It’s going to get so much wear these coming months! I pulled together a few other favorites from Kate Spade’s new arrivals below – there are so many fun pieces right now!
I landed back in New York mid-day yesterday and am finishing up packing before tomorrow’s move! I am so ready.
I hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend! I can’t wait to share more about my London trip with you all.

I love everything about this outfit (further proof that maybe we’re actually related?) but especially that skirt – if only for the Hello, Dolly! vibes.
Good luck with the move!
