I always love the idea of a nearly all white look. But then reality sets in and you travel in white jeans and end up with hummus on them and it’s like, “Why do I set myself up for these situations?” Anyone else!? This outfit I actually managed to keep relatively intact nearly all day before a drop of salad dressing ended up on my blouse. (And I wonder why the dry cleaners know me by name…)
If you don’t own a few silk button down blouses, you’re really missing out. They are one of my favorite rotating classic pieces and my favorites are this one from Everlane and my two from Equipment. Worthy investments and perfect for mixing up looks (past examples seen here, here and here!) And a moment for these earrings! I had the pleasure of meeting Katie from Three Jane the other morning over breakfast at one of my favorites in the West Village, Cafe Cluny, and she was just as bright and bubbly in person as her jewelry is. These earrings’ posts are that of the Eiffel Tower and make me want to magically be transported over to the city I love so dearly. Her stuff is the cutest and perfect for gifting so definitely check it out.
Back to this neutrals look though, when I’m not spilling, I absolutely adore wearing white denim throughout summer on days that aren’t as hot. I bought this pair recently because I wanted a distressed pair to work into my wardrobe and they are the perfect amount of stretchy meaning they are so comfortable. I tend to wear white denim year round (winter // spring) so figured two pair in rotation was a must.
I am heading to see The King and I tonight on Broadway! I couldn’t be more excited because I just adore the movie as a little girl. It’s being performed at Lincoln Center and I’ve never been to any show there before so I am ticking something off my New York bucket list. My birthday is in just a few short weeks and I feel like it’s been so fun to get some things in that I’ve always wanted to do before I “hit” 30!
Hope you’re having a great week! It’s almost the weekend you guys! xx

I love this look! I, too, shy away from anything too white for fear of ruining it in one fell swoop. For that matter, I’ve also started shying away from silk tops after a couple of obnoxious grease/cooking moments. Maybe I need to get over that? And start wearing an apron?
Have fun tonight – I love seeing musicals live!
Finding the perfect pair of white jeans can be hard. Thanks for finding some great places to start looking!
