Ok, I’ll admit it, I just “had” to have the new iPhone 3G. Miraculously, I didn’t have to wait more than 10 minutes (a whole other story) before I had the beautiful engineering marvel in my hands. Albeit not perfect, I think the iPhone is “wessential.” Why? See below!
-SF weather is a bit “schizophrenic.” What WIT doesn’t need to know how to plan her outfit accordingly for the day? Before I even peek my toes out of the duvet in the morning, I check the weather from the handy weather widget on my home page.
-The GPS is essential for finding your happy hour destination or the nearest cupcake bakery. Google the name of the establishment, click on the map, and next thing you know you have turn-by-turn directions to your destination!
-Google Reader. I’m never missing out on the latest Slate, Perez, ValleyWag, or WIT & Whimsy posts!
-Although a novice, I do like to keep up on the stock market. With the push of a button, I can check the market to see how Peet’s stock is doing, and whether I need to do my part to boost the economy by buying a $4 latte that morning!
-Visual Voicemail. That voicemail you’ve been avoiding, but have to listen to in order to get to the ones you care about? Not even an issue!
-Anything that isn’t already available on the phone, you can find via downloadable applications. My favorite is the tip-ulater, essential for nights out!
What do you think? Love it or leave it?
