Well ladies and gents, here we have it. My last outfit post of 2015!
Going to close out the year with an ensemble I wore on my last day in the office which very much resembles what I most often wear to work at this time of year: blazer // sweater // jeans // heels. It’s so easy to throw on and yet look presentable and can easily take you from your desk to after work drinks.. Because of the stellar sleeves on this blazer being leather I decided to throw my hair up into a loose bun to really show off the jacket’s structure. This piece was a recent find when I headed out to Simon Outlets’ Woodbury Commons the other week and it was such a good snag! I had my eye on this blazer for years now!
I’ve mentioned my love for Everlane sweaters before and the one here is my latest purchase. I am such a huge fan of this brand for the way it innovates the e-commerce experience for shoppers and for how much they appreciate their customers. As a year end thank you they just sent me $40 to my account. It was so nice and unexpected (and naturally had me clicking “purchase” on another one of their pieces I had been eyeing) – this cashmere sweater with the sweetest black and gray print.
If you’re in the market to add some knitwear to your rotation then might I recommend starting with their Luxe Short Sleeve Sweater (styled by me here, here) and their Chunky Wool Wide Neck Sweater which I have in Ivory (styled here, here) and now also have in the Black Marble thanks to my clever and loving mother who spotted a mention of my wanting that style too right here on the blog and then had it waiting under the tree on Christmas 🙂 (#momoftheyear).
Oh and these shoes? I’ve had them in an open browser window for months now. No joke. I’ve wanted them for quite some time and while a white investment pump may seem off I actually have already been scheming up lots of ways to wear them year-round. They are so comfortable to walk in and I’m so glad I decided to treat myself to them. They were a “you’ve had a great year and have worked really hard” sort of gift to myself.
Speaking of great years, I hope you’re taking time to reflect on everything that happened in your 2015 (my reflection on 2015 is here) and that you’ll be toasting the night away with lots of champagne, smiles + laughter with your loved ones and the spirit to be ready to seize the new year on Friday.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make this year so special! Here’s to Y-O-U! xx
