You know those times when all you want to do is lay on your couch, watch TV and enjoy not having any current responsibilities or deadlines? Blissful, I know. But when nothing good is on TV, it’s easy to be disappointed, isn’t it? That’s when I always turn to my good ol’ standby: Food Network TV.
Whether you want to watch the drama inside kitchen stadium on Iron Chef or you want an easy, delectable dish that’s easy to make by the Barefoot Contessa, Ina Garten, Food Network has a show for you. Shows about cakes, how to find the best food dishes in various cultures and countries and shows that make things you could only dream of creating. It’s always entertaining and, let’s be honest, inspiring. Finding recipes you think you can conquer (and then doing it) is such a great feeling.
An added perk to the Food Network? The website. FoodNetwork.com has tens of thousands of recipes you can search for, insider cooking tips, tutorials on how to make some more challenging dishes and profiles on all your favorite “Food TV Stars.” Personal favorites? Ina Garten, Giada De Laurentiis and Bobby Flay.
So try Food TV- I promise you won’t be disappointed and plus, what WIT isn’t trying to aim for being a fabulous wife in every aspect of homemaking? I won’t tell you to start in the kitchen, but it’s definitely a place you’ll want to impress the future or current hubby. Who, for your sake, I hope is even more delicious than the food. 😉
Went to a Food Network panel about their new programming at WOMMA–lots to tell you about.
I LOVE the Food Network. It’s one of the four reasons I pay for cable. ICA is one of the best shows out there, and I’m so excited about the upcoming holiday contests!
