If you live in New York you know that there’s something special about Fall. It feels like there’s a little bit of magic in the air once the humidity has subsided, the leaves start to change color and the cooler breeze in the air puts a pep in just about everyone’s step.

One of my favorite parts about Fall is no doubt the fashion. I live for the days when I can slip back into my favorite jeans, pull out my collection of sweaters and dust off all my favorite pairs of boots. It’s also the time I happen to shop the most!

At this time of year is also when I fall into monochromatic dressing. All white, all gray, all black – I live for this easy way to put together an outfit. But when it came to accessorizing an all gray outfit my handbag collection was lacking so I hopped on over to eBay to score this gray beauty.

I have the mini Furla metropolis bag in white and carry it so much that I decided to get the same style in a slightly larger size. I love the color of it and have already carried it so much. Better yet? While it retails for $428, I scored a brand new one for only $340.

And in case you haven’t shopped on eBay in some time, a few fun facts that you may not be aware of: 80% of all merchandise sold on eBay is new (like the new addition to my bag collection!) and 87% of items sold on eBay are “Buy It Now” meaning there is no bidding or internet stalking necessary.

Given all this, I’ll admit that I am already plotting my next handbag purchase on eBay as a possible “Merry Christmas to me” present – ha!

Paired with super soft gray jeans and a cashmere sweater with the cutest tie detailing, this outfit will no-doubt be a go-to for me in the coming months. (Topped with a gray jacket when the temperature dips, of course ;)).

Hope you guys had a great weekend. I went upstate yesterday to the Kykuit Rockefeller Estate and it was truly incredible! It put into context a lot about New York history I was previously unaware of. Highly recommend a visit if you are in the area!

Are you sure that bag is real? Designers don’t sell their bags on Ebay, especially at a discount. Usually they are fake ones from China. That is why I always buy directly from the designer. You know that saying, if it is too good to be true….

Hi Michelle – Appreciate your concern! Thankfully I do know how to spot fakes and feel comfortable with eBay as they have multiple ways in which they combat inauthentic products on the site! If I felt the bag wasn’t authentic they’d reimburse me. Great news is that I had a great experience with the seller from whom I bought and I love the bag.
