My Favorite Beauty & Wellness Destinations in Paris

Given the regularity with which I’ve visited Paris, I’ve been able to expand my itineraries past the typical museums and traditions you frequently hear about. During my most recent visit in October of 2018, I set out to explore some beauty and wellness destinations to expand my list of favorite spots when you want to be pampered or partake in some healthy eating. Today’s post is dedicated to all those favorite beauty and wellness spots I’ve tried over the years.

My Favorite Beauty & Wellness Destinations in Paris

Oh My Cream - Best Beauty Destinations in Paris I wit & whimsy

Oh My Cream:

This is a beautiful concept beauty store carrying excellent brands almost all of which are clean.

L’Institut Darphin:

This place is a little piece of heaven in Paris. A celebrated French beauty brand, Darphin has deep roots in France and their Institut is tucked away off the famed Rue Saint-Honoré. They perform incredible facials that will leave you feeling completely renewed and utterly taken care of. I cannot recommend this spot enough.

Best Beauty Destinations in Paris I wit & whimsy

Christophe Robin:

I use Christophe Robin’s salt scrub religiously and think it is such fun to visit his namesake salon that made him famous. You can get a cut or color or blowout done here. And it happens to be situated on an incredibly charming street.

Le drugstore Parisien:

A modern take on the traditional French drugstore, don’t miss visiting le drugstore Parisien if you’re hoping to pick up some French beauty brands like Avene or Klorane or Nuxe or Caudalie for less than you’ll pay in the States.

Le Bon Marché:

The beauty floor of Le Bon Marché is a beauty junkie’s dream. With sky-high ceilings and loads of beautiful displays and samples, don’t miss popping in here to see what the latest offerings are from brands like Hermes, Chanel and Diptyque.

Yoga in Paris | My Favorite Beauty & Wellness Destinations in Paris

Snake & Twist:

The boutique fitness studio craze has arrived in Paris at long last and this beautiful studio offers both reformer pilates and yoga classes in a chic setting. On my most recent trip I had the opportunity to partake in one of the yoga classes. And it was so nice to get a little sweat in amidst all the indulgences Paris offers.

Season:

This is a favorite haunt of mine for when I need a break from cheese and pastries. They make amazing clean dishes that include robust and flavorful salads, delicious green juices, grain bowls and loads more.

Buly 1803:

Walking into this beauty destination feels like walking back in time. The brand, as its name references, is over 200 years old and their boutique offers perfumes, candles, soaps and oils all in pretty packages that may look similar to that of what your grandmother used to have on her vanity.

Wild and the Moon:

This place feels more New York than Paris but it offers a great detox menu if you’re looking for some healthy food and drink.

Best Healthy Food in Paris I wit & whimsy

Balagan:

I first ate at this spot last Fall and I’d go back in a heartbeat. Not only is the restaurant oozing with stylish surroundings, but the Israeli food was divine. I only wish we had been hungrier so we could have enjoyed more! Do not miss the halloumi .

Cafe Mericourt:

You’ll be instantly soothed as you walk into this bright + airy cafe a bit off the typical tourist’s path. They offer constantly changing fresh dishes that’ll fill you up without weighing you down.

  1. So many great recommendations I need to check out on my next trip; thank you! I also love City Pharma in Saint Germain for its VAST selection of brands and products, and am still fantasising about that incredible Darphin facial and lunch at Balagan afterwards.

  2. Great recommendations! I’m a Parisian and I also love to go to the Biologique Recherche Spa (located on the Champs-Élysées) and tp Monoprix (the French version of Target in the US) for effective and affordable beauty products 🙂 xo
