Earlier this year I did a post on the pursuit of beauty sleep but have since narrowed down my nighttime rituals. Maybe it is in partial part thanks to being in my own place but I feel like I’ve hit my stride in finding a routine that leaves me feeling super calm before bed and ensuring I get restful sleep for typically about 8 hours!
This is my new obsession! I’ve never owned a diffuser in the past, but doTERRA was kind enough to send me their Lotus diffuser and a sampling of their amazing smelling essential oils and I am HOOKE! Ever since getting it, every night I turn it on for 2 hours and diffuse this ‘Peace’ essential oil. It’s subtle and oh so calming. During the day I use more uplifting oils in it to make my apartment / home office smell great and provide subtle energy.
This stuff smells amazing so it is calming once sprayed lightly onto your pillows.
You guys know I love this stuff! So much so I travel with it. Apply a few drops on your inner wrists before bed and all night you’ll inhale the beautiful, calming smell. It’s on the pricier side but you only use a drop or two each night so it’ll last you a long time. If you experience any kind of anxiety, I can’t recommend it enough. You can use on the airplane or even at the onset of a stressful day.
Best eye mask ever! The fabric is said to prevent wrinkles (I’ll take any preventative measures I can!) but truthfully it’s just so smooth, lightweight and it stays put so I love it. I recently got the beautiful silver color and pro tip? Stash it in your fridge in a sealed bag prior to nighttime and once ready for bed, take it out for a cooling effect in summertime.
