As much as I love to dress up, I’ll always remain a jeans and tee girl at heart. Topped with one of my favorite sample sale finds ever from Helmut Lang (their blazers sure are investment pieces but I wear both of mine at least a week for 6 months out of the year so they were very much worth it. Current favorites featured below) and paired with the Joie smoking slippers I scored at Gilt this outfit worked for a Friday that transitioned from the office into drinks post-work. These Joie slippers come in a bevy of fun prints currently (see links below), many of which are on sale (I love their entire shoe line truthfully).

I’m starting this week out well rested. I felt a cold coming on ever since Friday so I spent my weekend primarily tucked in my apartment reading, watching Law & Order SVU (addicted!), unpacking from Colorado and hydrating myself with lots of fluids and Emergen-C.
