This dress was one of my best purchases last Fall. It pairs well with strappy sandals (as seen here) or paired with booties or tights + over the knee boots as seen here.
It’s cozy yet feminine so it is kind of like wearing sweats on top which I am very OK with.
Frankly this weather has had me wanting to be in clothing that’s as close to pajamas as possible. I do love some snow & the seasons as much as the next person but I am finding myself pining for Spring. When the snow in New York has turned to dirty slush and you’re traipsing to work trying to not get your shoes disgusting…you kind of get over the snow. But I’ve been forcing myself to get ready and not wear yoga pants to the office (…a blog is good for some things, eh!?)
Due to the temperatures I have been layering my leather jacket under my winter coats as much as possible. These days due to my thyroid disease I run cold (which I’ll take over sweating any day, frankly) so I keep the jacket on during the day at work as well.
I had such a busy, but wonderful weekend. I saw American Sniper (so good – I now want to read so much more about the story), did two yoga classes, an SLT class and had dinner with a college friend at Root + Bone (banana cream pie in a mason jar = of life), had afternoon tea with some of my favorite fellow bloggers at The St. Regis and watched the Super Bowl with plenty of beer + food (I made this.)
In other news, later today I have a special, very heartfelt post coming. I’ve been working on it for nearly a month now and can’t wait to share it. I hope you’ll pop back to read it after 4pm today!

Spanx Tights (a gift to all women)

I love your essay. I lived in New York for 7 yrs and still miss it every day. I’m in SF now, and though it has some amazing views that “might” beat New York’s skyline, SF just doesn’t measure up in any other way. If you’re interested, here’s what I had to say when I said Goodbye:

Ooops, obviously meant to post this under your post about New York!
