In my efforts to more effectively use the items in my closet, I pulled this tee + these jeans out of my archives. Matched them with investment pieces (read about my philosophy on that here). I always had a faux leather jacket but I have to say having the real deal (a major personal investment for me this past Fall) has been a game changer. I want to wear it all the time and it is the perfect layering piece for this time of year (recently seen here and here.)
And this little bag? Another steal from Forever21. I can’t get over how high-quality and expensive their bags look (remember this one?) You best get on this train with me…trust me they won’t let you down.
When we shot these photos it was 13 degrees – talk about freezing. So I did what every normal person would do and slap together an outfit that went against my natural sensibilities. Less femininity, more edge.
When I woke up yesterday I thought it was Friday which tells you how I’ve felt about this week. I feel like I’ve been swirling with so much going on in both my life and those I love. My list of prayers seems to be so long these days but it is also making me more conscience of what’s important and how much I have to be grateful for.
So I’m heading into this weekend hoping to reflect on what’s most important and remind myself to count my blessings more often than I usually do. It’s easy to get wrapped up in things like clothes, outfits and a never-ending Gmail inbox, right?
Have a great day, all. Thank you so much for stopping by.
