outfit // indian summer

October 9, 2014

These photos were taken a few weeks back at the height of New York’s Indian Summer. Mid-90s in September? Ok then. My remedy for hot days in the city is always this Otte Ellen dress. It’s like wearing the most lightweight mumu imaginable but still managing to look put together. It’s basically a lifesaver on days you don’t know what the hell to wear. I love it in the violet color (on sale for under $100 right now!) and the green which would be so great with boots & a leather jacket to transition into fall.

And this clutch? I love that it is oversized and fits so much and it is in my favorite color for this season (I just bought this skirt in a similar hue). And while I’m waxing on about good items, note that Piperlime is having 20% off fall essentials. I personally bought this top from their new collection and these boots I’d been eyeing for weeks!

Hope you’ve had a great week! Mine is about to get significantly better with the arrival of two of my best friends from college visiting for a long weekend starting tonight! File under: CANNOT FREAKING WAIT.

Outfit: Otte Ellen dress (also here), Joie Remy heels, Deux Lux clutch (c/o), Karen Walker sunglasses, BaubleBar Crystal Mason ring, Crystal Christine Ring and necklace La Mer Studded watch,
