Things I’ve Bought and Loved Recently is back! 💥

This wit & whimsy series is one of my most popular since I launched it in 2018 but I’ve gotta say...this edition has to be my most random yet...that’s 2020 purchases for ya, eh?! 🤷🏼‍♀️

This installment has a bit of everything - the new wine glasses I love, the earplugs I can no longer live without, some great beauty products I’ve been really enjoying using, some new pieces in my closet that are making me happy...and so much more! It’s a random assortment of great purchases and as you know, I always love sharing my finds with you guys!

When our world changed in an instant this past March I knew right away that I’d have to change how I worked. ⁣
⁣
No more photo shoots with professionals, no more in person meetings, no more travel. The “no more”s piled up quickly, didn’t they?⁣
⁣
But as I worked to pivot my content and how I could create... a funny side effect happened - I connected even more with you all. We shared so many experiences and emotions these past six months, haven’t we?⁣
⁣
I asked myself over and over again during this time: “how are you feeling?” And “what’s brining you joy right now” and then I shared the answers to that. It’s the formula I’ve followed this year instead of “how does this look?” And “how does this seem?”⁣
⁣
The type of content I started sharing was different and much more out of my comfort zone. It also meant caring *a lot* less of what people may think. ⁣
⁣
But things like this - this heartfelt note a blog reader sent to my PO Box (shares with permission and with the name redacted) - this means being out of my comfort zone these past 6 months was worth it. ⁣

Over the past six months I’ve felt even closer to this community I started cultivating back in 2006. Many of you have been here for awhile and many are new. But each and every one of you matters to me. ⁣Thank you for being here. Truly. Truly.
⁣
I hope my posting this will inspire you to tell someone who has been doing something meaningful for you what it’s meant to you. Stranger or friend, you may just make their day. This sure made mine ☺️

We’re all apart more than ever right now but gestures like this can remind us of how small (and lovely) our world can be 🌎💙
