This winter weather has had me seriously missing my shoe collection. I had to pull out this pair though because I love how they went with the jeans I got at the Rag & Bone sample sale. These Madewell heels are so comfortable and come in such a fun variety of colors…I can’t recommend them enough. They are also a moderate heel height so if you don’t love stilettos, these are the heels for you.
I had bought this tee at Madewell after a workout and on my walk home did an impulse purchase. I do this a bit too often whenever I workout in the Flatiron – maybe it is all the endorphins I get post-workout? I walk into a store being like THIS GIRL “I can do anything good!”
When you’re wearing skinny jeans I always like the juxtaposition of an A-line top (I have hips to this profile generally works on me but I can’t do traditional peplums.) This sweater is next on my list (*party in the back*)
In more serious news, I want to take a moment to thank everyone who has given me thoughts on my reader survey. If you know me well or if you’ve read this blog for some time, you know I’m really hard on myself. I always want to be improving but I feel like this year I am looking at it through a new lens. Maybe it is wisdom that comes with getting older settling in, maybe it is my feeling more confident with myself in 2015 or maybe it’s because I’m focusing more on what makes me really happy…but I am approaching the re-design & re-launch of WIT & Whimsy through a point of view that makes me excited rather than pressured.
I am going to do my absolute best to take into consideration everyone’s feedback but please know the constructive commentary is of the utmost value to me. It is helping me shape my vision and a whole new chapter for myself and this blog and I seriously CANNOT WAIT.
The survey is still open so if you have two minutes, I’d love to hear from you. And if you have more feedback, always feel free to email me!
And getting back to this ensemble, I wore it to work and then out to dinner when all my college girlfriends were here the other week. We started the night at Malatesta (which had been on my list for so long and my God was the gnocchi worth the wait!), then headed to The Rusty Knot for drinks and ended the night at The Standard Biergarten and Hogs and Hefers (Coyote Ugly anyone?) It was a night I’ll always remember with some of my favorite people.
Hope you’re having a great week – it is almost Friday! And psst…after yesterday’s post on sample sales…sharing that right now BaubleBar is running an online sample sale with up to 75% off some of my favorite jewels!

Cute outfit! I can totally commiserate with missing your cute shoes, I grew up in Canada and you could seriously only wear huge boots for much of the year!
1. That video is flippin hilarious. I feel like I need to watch that right after I wake up every morning.
2. Those heels! I love! I’m having a weird moment with heels hurting one of my feet lately (TMI I know) otherwise I would literally be snapping those puppies up in a heartbeat. Gah.
Stop making me shop, style-twin!
