Sharing some recent beauty favorites today. Nothing like a new year to start fresh on all cylinders- your beauty routine included!

  1. Kérastase Cristalliste Shampoo:  I tested this shampoo as part of the AOL StyleList Beauty Awards judging and loved that it revived my long hair. I’ve been in dire need of a hair cut but in the interim this left my hair feeling fresh, hydrated and with lots of shine.  If you have fine hair, I can’t recommend it enough.
  2. Clarins Double Serum: Every time I try a Clarins product, I’m impressed (I swear by their Eye Revive eye cream– it depuffs like NO OTHER.) This new serum reactivates your skin to make it more firm, reduce wrinkles (I have major crows feet settling in!) and gives you a more even skin tone alongside minimizing pore. You can’t quite ask for much more so I’ve been using my serum nightly for several weeks as a last step and have loved the results so far.
  3. Tarte Eyelash Curler: I’d been using the Shu Uemura eyelash curler for years, but after hearing rave reviews from Molly and Sally of A Piece of Toast about the Tarte Eyelash Curler, I wanted to give it a whirl. And the verdict? It’s pretty much the best. It’s designed ergonomically and has cushioned handles making use 100% easy. There’s no pinching and no crimping resulting in simple yet beautifully curled eyelashes.

Disclosure: Samples were provided for editorial consideration. I only write about and share products that I truly love!

I sweat by Clarin’s eye serum as well – one of my favorite products by far! I’ve also tried the Kerastaste shampoo, thank you Birchbox, and was impressed.

  3. Since I’ve never used a lash curler before, Do you use mascara before or after curling? And if it’s before, do you let it dry before using the curler?

Hi Emily- thanks so much for inquiring! I always use the lash curler before – it helps get your lashes prepped for mascara and I find it ensures mascara applies in a better fashion. Hope this helps!
