My Recent Latest Discoveries Worth Trying
- I absolutely love the m.ph by Mary Phillips lip liner + lipstick I got during the last sale. If you want a good everyday lip combo, make it this.
- I love, love, love Cyklar’s body washes. I can’t get enough of Naked Neroli and Sacred Santal. They make you smell expensive, your whole bathroom smells great after use
- The new Westman Atelier HydroBalm lipstick is so great. Feels comforting on the lips, great color pay off and I love shade English Rose for Spring in particular. And lately I’ve loved wearing their Sun Tone Drops – they look intimidating but are perfect for subtle sculpting and for that “just took a holiday” kinda vibe.
- The Rhode new Eye Patches are excellent. They feel instantly cooling and depuffing. My new in-flight favorites.
- I’m loving Dieux Air Angel. It makes skin feel plump and nice and hydrated. It’s really great pre-makeup.
- I like everything I’ve tried so far from Chris McMillan’s line. He was Jennifer Aniston’s long time stylist and finally came out with his own line last year. The Hairspray and Hair Mousse made my curls last all day upon my testing. I’m also a fan of the Blow Dry spray. Makes hair smooth, shiny and looks like an excellent at-home blowout.
- In other hair news, this past winter wrecked havoc on hair and skin, so I tested out Kérastase Nutritive 8H Magic Night Hair Serum and it works wonders! You leave it on overnight and then wake up with softer, more nourished hair. Obsessed.
- You guys the Caudalie Self-Tan Sun Drops are incredible. You put a few drops in your favorite nighttime moisturizer and wake up with the most natural, effortless glow.
- This Givenchy powder is great because it has color correcting power. It blurs, illuminates and sets makeup for 12 hours, delivering a natural radiant finish & all-day shine control. Checks all my boxes for a loose powder.
- I’m happy U Beauty is now carried at Sephora and their Barrier Mist is my new must-have when I travel. More of my favorites can be found below!
- The Clarins Lip Perfector is so, so good. I have been wearing it constantly this year in two different shades I own. I also love their Double Serum which has a cult status and has been a part of my routine this year thanks to its firming and pore refining capabilities!
My Holy Grail Sephora Makeup
My very favorites…you can now score at a discount!
- This Dior foundation stick is insane. It blends so beautifully, gives a natural skin finish and yet helps with redness, skin tone and truly I cannot stop wearing it – particularly mixed with the Rhode Glazing Milk Essence. The finish the two combine is unmatched. I have shade 2N. For a clean alternative (and a better price point), I highly recommend the Ilia Complexion stick which I also own and really like.
- I love, love, love the Hourglass Concealer brush and the Foundation Brush. I always bring them when I travel and they just blend out products so beautifully. Highly recommend.
- I cannot stop recommending these super blendable, super long-wearing Armani shadows. I loooove them. Super blendable and wear so well. Shade 22 is my fav by far – so much so I own two – one I keep at home and one I keep in my travel makeup stash.
- This Saie glowy highlighting cream is my go-to primer and has been for years.
- So many of my favorite Westman Atelier products are holy grail for me – The Baby Cheeks Blush (Shades Petal and Chouchette are my favs – and PSA it now comes in a mini!), the Skin Activator – makes your skin look so amazing, the Contour Stick makes adding definition to your face much easier (if you don’t want to commit grab the mini! It’s always in my travel kit) and the Super Loaded Drops in shade Peau de Rose – glowy, glassy skin can be yours.
- Merit Flush Balm (in Beverly Hills and Stockholm). And the best brush ever for cream blushes.
- The Kosas brow pencil + brow gel. (I’ve gone through countless tubes of the brow gel at this point!) I wear shade Soft Brown in both.
- The Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat High Cover Radiant Under-Eye Concealer is cult status for a reason. It does wonders to make eyes look less tired, more awake and really does help blur dark circles and fine lines so beautifully. I use Shade 1 and whenever I mention this on Stories those of you who love it also sings its praises. Absolutely amazing for under eyes – truly. If you like the Erborian BB Cream – you’ll like this stuff.
- The YSL LipShine is one of my most used lip products in every shade I own. If you haven’t yet tried it – please, please do.
- I’ve never been able to quit the NARS Soft Matte Concealer after years and years. I go between shades Creme Brulee and Vanilla throughout the year.
- My current go-to setting powder from One/Size as it majorly helps combat shine. I re-up on the minis constantly. The full size is very annoying to use so just go for the mini.
- I also LOVE the One/Size setting spray. It’s great for keeping all your makeup in place. I now travel with the mini every trip and trust me – this stuff is liquid gold.
- Oh man Gucci Beauty is so, so good. This Gucci Bronzer is as good as everyone says. It adds the prettiest, most natural glow to skin and is pretty fool proof. I have Shade 01 and it’s been my number 1 bronzer to use since I first got it about two years ago. From past sales so many of you guys told me you love it so much! As a result of loving the bronzer, I bought this blush in shade 05 and it is so, so good. The perfect rosy beige color and looks particularly great over the Westman blush in shade Petal. I also adore this little Gucci bullet lipstick in shade Sally Salt Honey. It is a great every day shade and one of my most worn lipsticks. Particularly great for small bags for nights out!
- This Makeup By Mario Bronzing & Shaping Serum is one of my favorite discoveries of the last few years. It gives your face such a nice shape and while it looks intimidating, it’s actually so easy to use. I love how my makeup looks when I use this! Highly recommend this Ilia Brush for applying it.
Don’t miss The Makeup I Never Travel Without
My Holy Grail Skincare
- I cannot live without the U Beauty Super Hydrator – nothing works better on my skin when it is feeling overly dry. It uses in just one use but gets better with a few days time I find. If my makeup is looking patchy, this is the first thing I reach for in order to fix it. And then the U Beauty Resurfacing Compound is also amazing. Honestly using the two of these together is incredible.
- Rhode recently launched at Sephora so now is a great time to test it at a discount. The Glazing Milk Essence and the Tinted Lip Peptide are holy grail for me and I really like the Pocket Blush, too.
- Caudalie Premiere Cru Rich Cream, my favorite brightening serum (it’s great for dark spots – I use it every morning! I’ve gone through countless, countless bottles – so, so good), the SPF and the Caudalie Purifying Toner.
- The Tower28 Sunny Days SPF is also so good. One of my most used products of the last few years for sure. It evens out skin tone but can also layer with bb cream or foundation. I wear shade Fairfax. And their SOS spray is a lifesaver for those of us with sensitive skin. It helps combat redness and breakouts and I am constantly using it.
- This Farmacy melting balm cleanser is a dream to use – makeup literally melts right off and skin is left feeling so soft. I’m restocking my full size and my mini so I can always have one when I travel. Nothing has removed my makeup better andI will never stop singing its praises. Every friend I’ve ever traveled with who has witnessed me using this at night has gone onto buy it!
- The Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream has been my go-to for makeup days for the past two years and I’m already on my third jar. It plumps skin and gives such a pretty glow for under makeup. It has a wonderful finish and I can’t say enough good things about it.
- This Supergoop powder SPF is the best for easy reapplication.
- The Kate Somerville Exfolikate is one of my most used products of the last decade. It’s so great when skin is freaking out.
My Holy Grail Haircare
- I always keep Kerastase in my shower as my hair stylist and colorist both swear by it. I’m glad it is sold at Sephora these days! Standout SKUs I always use are this blonde hair mask, this hair mask for when my hair feels very dry and this blonde shampoo and blonde conditioner. This professional line is expensive so I only ever restock during sales – about once a year because there’s loads of products in each bottle. And this cream is my go-to blow out cream.
- This Crown Affair hair gel is the best. It isn’t sticky at all and yet really helps tame frizz and flyaways. It’s become crucial in my slickback bun routine.
Clean at Sephora Makeup Favorites
- Now is the time to splurge on or restock Westman Atelier while it is on sale. If you try just one product, make it the Baby Cheeks Blush (my favorites are Petal and Chouchette, and it now comes in a mini!). My full brand review is here. Other must-haves include the Skin Activator which makes your skin look incredible, and the The Lip Balms, shade Nana is my everyday go-to, though I now own all the colors! The Contour Stick makes defining your face easy (grab the the mini if you’re not ready to commit—it’s always in my travel kit), and the Super Loaded Drops in Peau de Rose give the most beautiful dewy glow.
- This Saie glowy highlighting cream is my go-to primer and has been for years. Apparently it’s the top selling highlighter at Sephora!? If you haven’t yet tried it – you must. Read my full Saie Beauty Review for more favorites from the brand.
- If you liked my review of Merit Beauty – you can score it on sale now. The blush (in Beverly Hills and Stockholm and the newer shade Archival are my favs – I use this blush almost every day) and the moisturizer is not to be missed for pre-makeup. I also use this serum a lot. And this brush is the absolute best for blending cream blushes!
- I re fell in love with the Summer Fridays Sheer Skin Tint last summer for no-makeup makeup days. And their tinted lip balm is great – one of my most used lip products. I adore Vanilla Beige.
- From Ilia Beauty – I recommend this concealer, these shadow sticks (an Allure Best of Beauty winner!), this Complexion Stick and this lip liner.
- The Saint Jane lip oil is so good! Nourishing and a pretty color pay off.
Clean at Sephora Skincare Favorites
- The Caudalie Resveratrol line has been a favorite this year. The serum, this eye balm that’s great for AM and PM and this moisturizer.
- Got acne prone skin? Don’t miss my two favorite cures for it! This Caudalie Purifying Toner and this Acne Serum. Also in the sale, the gorgeous Premiere Cru Rich Cream -so great if you suffer from dry skin or have aging skin. (And I love the Premiere Cru eye cream for the PM, too) Other clean Caudalie products I love and use regularly include this brightening serum (it’s great for dark spots – I use it every morning!), this brightening moisturizer I use in the morning on no makeup days and this detox mask that always sells out and is a favorite for helping clogged pores. I couldn’t live without this line, truly.
- I always travel with a mini of the Summer Fridays Jet Lag mask. It is exceptional for thirsty skin.
- The Saint Jane Luxury beauty serum is so good if you get irritated skin. It’s calming and nourishing and more like an oil than a serum so I like to put a drop or so on before P.M moisturizer for extra hydration and TLC.
More Sephora Skincare Favorites
- Definitely recommend the much beloved Dieux Instant Angel Lipid & Peptide-Rich Moisturizer. It’s rich yet wears lightweight. Skin feels comforted and nourished – great if you have sensitive skin like me.
- I was sort of amazed after the first time I used the Clarins Depuffing mask. My jawline was more defined and my face definitely felt less puffy. It has become a fast favorite. Given its price, it is a great one to snag during the sale. I can’t recommend it enough. Additionally, I love the Clarins Cryo Flash Mask is a wonder worker! I love it so much I bought it for one of my BFFs for Christmas, too. Truly slims your face in just one use.
- The Kate Somerville Exfolikate is one of my most used products of the last decade. It’s so great when skin is freaking out.
- I’ve been really happy with the InnBeauty Project Bright and Tight eye cream. Especially for the price point. Brightens, smooths and helps combat dark circles.
- I just tested the Summer Fridays hydration mist in-flight and it was great. My skin was more dewy and refreshed upon landing in Paris. Next I want to try their eye patches.
- Given the price of Supergoop, I always stock up when it goes on sale! My favorites include this mineral body SPF and this powder SPF for easy reapplication.
More Sephora Makeup Favorites
- These Armani blushes are new-ish and so good! I already have two shades. They blend out beautifully and the sheer wash of color is buildable. Can’t recommend these enough.
- For my tubing mascara fans, this one from Hourglass is the best for lengthening shorter lashes.
- I’ve always been a fan of layering powder and cream blushes and this Patrick Ta duo makes it a snap to do it in really, really beautiful shades. I’m a big fan and may pick up another shade.
- I love the color payoff on the Haus Labs Color Fuse blush. It’s a pretty glassy formula that blends out beautifully. I have shade Hibiscus.
- Another newer blush I’ve been loving is the Hourglass Unreal blush. I will admit the dispenser on the bottom is kind of annoying so just be sure to really shake this blush to make your life easier. And know that’s it is rather pigmented!!
- The Makeup By Mario Skin Enhancer is so wonderful once you get the hang of using it. It adds warmth and definition and I adore it. I use the lightest shade.
- This is a great little eye shadow palette with good pigments and easy enough to master neutrals. I always travel with it.
- I have used this Urban Decay setting spray for a decade. I use it for setting makeup in between steps and for blending out contour with a beauty blender.
- I got a mini size of the Bobbi Brown longwear shadow sticks and I’ve used it non-stop when I travel. Highly recommend them for foolproof shadow.
- I still swear first and foremost by my favorite Stila HUGE mascara Sephora no longer carries, but I’ve also really liked wearing the Charlotte Tilbury Exagger-eyes Volumizing and Curling Mascara since I bought it during the Fall sale.
- The Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter is a product I used years ago but brought back into rotation last year and now I bring a mini size of it everywhere when I travel, too. It constantly sells out so if you see your preferred shade – grab it! I use it in shade 1. I apply it after my Saie Primer and then dot it all across my face followed by my Erborian BB Cream on most days.
- The Charlotte Tilbury Eyes to Mesmerize cream shadow is so gorgeous. Every time I wear the shade Champagne I get compliments on my eye makeup. I loved it so much I bought the shade Oyster Pearl to have as well. And I use them with this palette in shade Exaggereyes by the brand as well. I’m about to run out so I’ll be re-buying it this sale.
More Sephora Haircare Favorites
- Last year I bought a mini of the Bumble and Bumble Sunday shampoo after someone on Substack said they’d been loyal to it for a decade and yep, it’s awesome. Hair feels super clean and healthy after use. I absolutely love this.
- I’m very into Roz haircare including the Hair Milk and the Restorative Hair Mask (but I wasn’t a fan of the shampoo and conditioner personally!) This Mini Kit looks perfect if you want to test out the brand before committing to full sizes!
- If you’ve been coveting the Dyson Airwrap – now is your chance to get it on sale. Truly makes me look like I’ve had my hair professionally done when I do it right. Same with my Dyson blow dryer – some of the best money I’ve spent.
- These Drybar Hair Clips are the best and I’ve been using my OG set for a decade now I think? I often sleep with my hair affixed with one in a high bun most nights maintain my curls and also use them when heat styling my hair to section off my hair.
- This K18 mask is also incredible if your hair is damaged.
- I also use this Color Wow No-Frizz Spray before I dry my hair each time. It’s gone viral on TikTok and sold out a ton because it really does help combat frizz. But note: you have to sort of drench your hair in it so use more than you think you should to see results!
- I’ve used the Oribe Dry Texturing Spray for over a decade. I just bought a mini as I don’t want to be without it on the road.
Sephora Body and Tool Favorites
- The Soft Services Plush hand cream made me a hand cream convert. I keep the (chic) jar on my bedside and actually look forward to applying it because it smells amazing and really has made my hands look better!
- The perfume is so light and so fresh and a favorite of mine for years. And I also own this scent for the summer months, too. They’re both beautiful.
- My all time favorite hand sanitizer. Nothing is better!
- The Youth to the People Body Wash has been an obsession for the last year. It makes my whole bathroom smell amazing when I use it and the lather is so, so good.
- Love, love, love this Ilia Sculpting Brush.

Love all your clean beauty picks. I’ve been slowly on a mission to switch to clean beauty. I will have to check all of your picks out – especially the Caudalie SOS cream! I’ve transitioned to pretty much all Biossance products – I love them (I hope you do too!)
So glad you enjoyed the post! It was a labor of love to put together 🙂
Thanks for the round up!! If you had to pick, would you go for the Ilia mascara or the Kosas mascara? I’m trying to decide…
Really depends on what you like your lashes to look like! Kosas is mega wattage fluffy lashes and ilia is more natural!
Thanks for the reply! Is there one that you use more than the other? I haven’t been wearing mascara hardly at all since starting to work from home in March, and I want to start wearing it again. I feel like I could get on board with either one, I just want to love it. 🙂
I’d say go with Ilia then- great for every day natural lashes!
Thank you I appreciate your feedback! 🙂
I’ve been debating picking up the Armani Luminous Silk Foundation. I may just have to splurge on it this time round.
If you end up going for it – let me know what you think!
Amazing suggestions! I heard a lot of good things about the Nars concealer, I think it’s time to see what’s the hype all about x
