Favorite Skinceuticals Products

I’ve used SkinCeuticals products for over a decade at this point – I have tried a lot of the brand’s clinical skincare but there are a few that I always keep in rotation and come back to time and time again. The brand is an investment but the products really, truly work and I have seen great results in my skin when I use them consistently.

SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic, $166

Let’s start with the holy grail, cult-status SkinCeuticals favorite: their C E Ferulic

This serum features ferulic acid and pure vitamin C and E to enhance your skin’s protection against environmental damage caused by free radicals. It gets applied to your face first thing in the morning after cleansing and I’ve not found anything that works as well in terms of vitamin C serums.

The formula was designed to fight signs of aging such as fine lines and wrinkles while also firming and brightening. With consistent use I promise you’ll see an improvement in your skin’s firmness overall. I’ve used many, many bottles of this stuff and think it is one of the reasons I’ve not yet done any Botox or filler (and I am in my mid-30s). It works for sensitive skin, too.

This stuff smells out of the bottle (and I recommend washing your hands after application!) but the smell will dissipate – trust. It’s expensive but it’s worth it. You just need a couple drops for your whole face so a bottle should last you at least six months.

If you’re not ready to make the plunge, the best runner up I’ve found that less, is this One Love Organics Vitamin C serum. I do think it takes longer to be effective than Skinceuticals however.

SkinCeuticals Hydrating B5 Gel, $83

This is another tried and true serum I’ve used for years and years. It comes into rotation for me every time Winter and its dry air arrive and also whenever I restart retinol as it helps combat the drying that retinol causes when you first start out.

It’s packed with hyaluronic acid and tissue-repairing vitamin B5 so it restores skin’s moisture and gives it back suppleness and radiance and helps to comfort overly dry skin. Dehydrated skin = tired skin and more noticeable fine lines so adding in a hydrating serum like this one will go a long way if you have dry or more aging skin.

What I like about the formula is that you can layer it with your daily moisturizer and it’s actually going to make your moisturizer work more effectively. Talk about a power team!

SkinCeuticals Retexturing Activator, $82

One of the main reasons that skin loses its radiance and even, smooth tone is because of dry skin and clogged pores. When you add in a retexturizer like this one, your skin is going to be gently exfoliated and resurfaced so it regains its radiance.

The serum uses 25% Hydroxyethyl Urea and a Aminosulfonic Acid Compound that stimulate enzymes in your skin that help break down dead skin cells that are bonded to your skin’s surface. Yep- we want those dead skin cells gone! It’s formulated to be hydrating while it goes to work though so skin won’t feel overly dry after use.

It’s formulated in an oil-free finish so it is suitable for all skin types.

SkinCeuticals Phloretin CF, $166

This is another one of the brand’s priciest serums but if you suffer from any discloration in your skin, this is a great one to reach for every morning (you would use this one on your skin immediately after cleansing). The blend of phloretin, pure vitamin C and Ferulic acid improve the appearance of discoloration, fine lines and uneven skin tone.

This serum is great for aging skin and for anyone that wants to even their skin tone while fighting any discoloration and fine lines.

SkinCeuticals Blemish + Age Defense, $92

Anytime my skin breaks out, I add this serum into my routine. It’s designed specifically for adult acne but also formulated to fight against wrinkles and fine lines so it does double duty in my book. It prevents blemishes and helps with hyperpigmentation often caused by acne.

If you have extra oily skin, you’re going to want to try this serum as it helps limit excess sebum production, unclogs pores and helps prevent skin darkening from UV exposure aka: sun damage spots!

I think this is one of SkinCeuticals most underrated products!

SkinCeuticals Clarifying Clay Mask, $59

Another great product designed for those suffering from breakouts this clay mask unclogs pores, removes impurities and balances your oil production to help calm skin and nourish it while it fights any acne.

The mask has a 2% fruit acid blend that sloughs away dead, dull skin cells and then includes Kaolin and bentonite clays to absorb excess oil and shine to leave your complexion smooth and healthier looking.

. . .

Have you tried SkinCeuticals? Do you have a favorite product? I’d love to hear about it!

SkinCeuticals is a clinical line of skincare meaning it is largely sold at dermatologist offices but you’ll also find it available at Dermstore which is where I go for all my restocks. You can also buy SkinCeuticals through their website which has a lot of handy information on their products and allows you to take a skin quiz to get tailored product recommendations.
