All hail open-toe shoe season! And chambray season!

We’re in that glorious time of the year where we’re getting glimpses of warmer days and I finally switched out my wardrobe this past weekend (New York living things…) which was a move that brought back my full shoe collection, shorts, chambray shirts, dresses and skirts back into rotation. Can I get a woohoo!?

You guys often ask me about trends I like & don’t like and frankly until I laid eyes on these shoes I would have said I was not into mules. I just felt they shortened your legs vs. elongating them and often the styles I saw available were super matronly in feel. But these felt different and I instantly imagined them with jeans like in this post or paired with easy, breezy dresses. And while Joie shoes are expensive, they also are so comfortable (I have several pairs of their heels and booties) which always makes them worth the splurge for me, personally.

As I slowly prepare my looks for two weeks in France later this month I’ll most likely be bringing these mules (bless the #stackedheel) and no doubt will be bringing this trench coat which I lived in while in Paris last May. Whenever I’m planning for a big trip I actually start to jot down particular pieces in my Notes app on my iPhone so I can begin to plan outfits I’ll want to wear which tends to help me overpack less. Do you guys have any packing tips you swear by? (A few of my other ones are in this post!) I’ll be sharing my packing list here before I depart so keep an eye out for that.

Shop the Post:

Chambray Shirt // Levi’s Jeans (only $88!) // Mules (also here) // BaubleBar Earrings (c/o) // Louis Vuitton Clutch // Similar Trench Coat // Sunglasses

p.s. more cute trench coats and an outfit to welcome Spring.

I’m actually generally a pretty decent packer when it’s somewhere I’ve been before, because I plan all my outfits ahead of time. BUT I’ll be going to Paris and Cortana, Italy this September and I’m totally stumped because I’ve never been to either before! I know how much you love Paris! I’d really love to see your packing list. Stylish + practical must-haves for Europe! Just a suggestion 🙂
