Buy the right blazer and you can conquer anything. That’s how the saying goes, right!? 😉 Sarcasm aside, a plaid blazer with a pair of jeans and a great pair of shoes has become a signature look of mine so to speak throughout Fall and all of Winter. It’s such an easy formula to master and one that always makes me feel confident and ready to conquer my days.
The Plaid Blazer + Styling Ideas
I always get so many DMs whenever I post a blazer look so in the name of Fall’s arrival, I am sharing some of my favorite ways I’ve styled blazers on the blog along with all the best ones available now. Not all blazers are created equal (and many are downright ugly!) so rest assured my picks are the best of the best.

I typically pair my blazers with one of my favorite bodysuits by Madewell and Everlane (size Large in both) or my favorite t-shirt. In Winter I reach for this sweater or this sweater that is also great for layering and providing warmth. And then depending on what my calendar holds for the day, I add a shoe like my Gucci mules (look less for here, here), my favorite M.Gemi flats, a kitten heel slingback (I sized down to 6.5 – look for less here) my Chanel slingbacks (look for less here), my favorite black Kate Spade pumps or my beloved, comfortable, go-to booties. When I travel, I also love the sleek look of my favorite sneakers with a blazer.
The Best Blazers Edit:
A few standouts include this one with special detailing that’ll have people asking where you got it, this classic houndstooth one, this one with cool pocket detail on one side, this one by Gap (I bought the version they had out last year – seen above- and wore it SO much), this one that perfectly marries a blazer and tweed jacket, this one by H&M that I saw in store and frankly would never have guessed it was by H&M if I didn’t know better and also this one by Old Navy – can’t beat the price! I truly love all the ones above though – best of what’s out there right now in my opinion! And I just bought this one. In fact, I sized way down to a 2. The 4 would have worked, too (tried both sizes on in-store) but liked the more snug fit.
And if you have more to spend on the style, I can’t recommend Veronica Beard’s blazers enough. Her blazers are so chic, so timeless and so well made.
Finally, the J.Crew Regent blazer that is an utter classic (I wore it here) is 30% off right now! I’m wearing it in a 6.
Are you a fan of the blazer?
p.s. early Fall picks that are chic and won’t break the bank and things I’ve bought and loved recently.
Love all of these looks, I need to pick up a good plaid blazer!

Love all the looks! You’ve got such a classy style, I really like it!
I have resisted getting a plaid blazer so far but with the great styles that H&M has come up with this autumn I am so tempted to get one.
