Greetings from San Francisco where I was sadly hit with a stomach bug of some sort upon arrival so I’ve spent the past couple of days trying to feel back to normal! I was lucky enough to be nursed back to life at my BFF and her husband’s cozy place but man, feeling not well while traveling is pretty much the worst, isn’t it!? Thankfully I seem to be back on course and not a moment too soon as it has been a busy week of meetings and I am off to LA on Thursday.
I’m going to keep today’s post short + sweet as a result but wanted to share this casual winter look shot in Soho the other week on a day we were blessed with a bit warmer weather which meant A) a more lightweight jacket than I’d been sporting most other days and B) exposed ankles!
I picked up this striped tee the other week on a whim because I loved the little color contrast trim around the neck. Isn’t it so cute? I don’t know why the website calls it a sweater as it is most definitely a cotton tee but it’s perfect for layering or tucking and also comes in some other fun color combos!
Brought these favorite heels with me out on this trip as well as they are my go-to for client meetings year-round. They are so comfortable and despite a ton of wear have held up so well. I can’t recommend them enough if you want a classic pair you can always rely on. Amazon carries them in so many great colors and I’m thinking grey will be my next pair. Thoughts?
Hope you guys are having a great week!

I’m so ready for exposed ankles again! Sorry you’re sick (and on vacation, too!) Hope you’re 100% soon and have a great rest of your trip. x
Thank you for the well wishes, Diana!! Hope you’re staying warm in NYC!
Loving everything about this look, but especially the pops of color on your lips and collar!

Thank you so much, M! Always love me a pop of red!
Great update, Meghan! I love the photos, especially ‘heels on cobblestone!’
I’m wondering if you ever received my note a couple of weeks back. It’s the one where I mentioned having made an opposite journey to yours, i.e., NY->Chicago, where I live currently.
My question was how had you managed your communication (.txt/VM/cp/Data) while in Ireland.
Warm wishes from a surprisingly sunny Midwest!
Bill
Hey Bill – I just use wifi and turn off my data / put my phone on airplane mode! Hope that helps!
I love this look so much – it kind of reminds me of Paris <3

HI:
love this little tee, can you let me know how the sizing is on this brand, Have you bought this brand before?
love your blog
Marianne
Thank you, Marianne! So glad to have you as a reader 🙂 I wear A LOT of & Other stories as I think the quality is so good for the price. I’m usually an 8 or a 10 and in this tee I bought a 10 as I don’t like tighter tops – ESPECIALLY stripes! In their sweaters if the fit is more oversized I get a S and if more fitted I get a M. I hope that helps!!
