Ladies, start your engines because this week is going to be a marathon of eating and shopping, amiright?
My week is going to look a bit different than it historically does as I’m actually staying in New York this week vs. flying home to Colorado for Thanksgiving. This year my siblings will all be in different spots and from a cost perspective, it made more sense for me to stay here, celebrate with friends and get a lot of work done while I was at it.
The upside to not traveling this week? I can enjoy some of New York’s best spots with less crowds which is exactly what I plan to do! Drinks at the Boathouse in Central Park (right nearby where these photos were snapped the other week), checking out the new location of the International Center of Photography on the Lower East Side and taste testing some of the city’s best hot chocolates are all on my list to accomplish this week.
No doubt I will also be getting in some of my Christmas shopping! I do much of mine online these days but I also love to pick up a few special trinkets at the city’s Christmas markets.
If you’re in the mood for a little pre-Thanksgiving shopping, Vince Camuto is doing a Pre-Black Friday sale meaning you can get in on the markdowns early! These boots are the best heeled, over the knee boots that I own (I even have them in gray, too!) and are easily dressed up or dressed down. Starting today and through tomorrow, you can score 30% off your purchase with the code EARLY30 (some exclusions may apply) so I rounded up some of my favorite other picks from their site that you can browse below!
As you guys know, I love a monochromatic look so I topped this long sleeved dress with a black moto jacket and then added the boots for an easy ensemble that’s comfortable but not overly dressy. I’m going to re-wear this outfit when I check another holiday occasion off my New York bucket list…seeing the Rockettes for the first time at Radio City Music Hall!
How will you be celebrating the holidays this week!?
