I’ll admit I’m not one to go all-in on every trend. Some things aren’t for my personal preference, some things I just feel too old for and some things I know are going to only stick around for so long.
But I’ll admit that I thought that the slip on loafer was one of those blips on the radar two years ago and boy was I wrong! The trend has only grown and now the mule loafer is seemingly everywhere. And guess what? I caved!
When I was in Italy I actually considered getting the Gucci slip on loafers but then when I saw the Steve Madden ones in person I decided to take the cheaper of the two roads. The Steve Madden ones feel surprisingly so high end. The leather is a nice quality, the detailing on it subtle and they even are comfortable. Win/win/win.
After reading reviews (which I all too frequently forget to do), I ended up buying these in a half size up (7.5) and I’m glad I did as they fit perfectly. I’ve now worn them at least half a dozen times since making the purchase the other week and am surprised I never owned something in this style prior to this (especially given how extensive my shoe collection is…#whoops!) They come in a bunch of different styles but I liked the classic black + gold the best.
And this sweater? Oh how I love it so! The pretty lace detailing on the edge of the sleeves is just so perfect, isn’t it? Actually the entire Sezane knit collection is perfect in my opinion! I particularly love this one (sadly I ordered too big of a size first time around in this style so hoping to get the right size at the new Sezane store!), this one is so chic & also this one. (Of note they have free return shipping!)
Are you guys having a good week? I arrived back to New York very early this morning and am battling a cold I came down with after the weekend which was all too much fun.
