In anticipation of the upcoming two weddings I’m in on back to back weekends this month (and after admiring my friend Kristen’s false lashes for weeks upon weeks), I paid a visit to the new lash studio in New York City, The Lash Loft for my first lash extensions.
Offering a variety of lash extensions – both faux and real mink, waxing and tinting, The Lash Loft was darling. Chandeliers, sparkling water or wine, a perfect soundtrack, beautiful bathrooms and comfortable treatment beds – all the little touches added up for a wonderful experience.
I received the Full Natural Set ($150) and upon entering the studio Mike walked me through my options. Ever been to a blow dry bar and chosen your look? Well this is just like that but for lashes. I chose the Peta – a gradual and natural cat eye but you can also choose more glamorous or just get your lashes to look more fuller – there’s an option no matter what you’re looking for.
Upon seeing a friend after my extensions she remarked “they look incredible” and I’ve loved having them. Never had lash extensions? I highly recommend. And you can skip the step of mascara when getting ready in the morning – how great is that?
The most uncomfortable parts? Getting your lower lashes taped down and the stinging/watering right after your treatment is done but it is worth it for the results in my opinion.
The Lash Loft is located at 34 E 20th St. Suite 2, New York, New York 10003
[Disclosure, my treatment was provided gratis, but all opinions are my own.]
